Easily.

odom and sasha for good measure.

We're not talking about what you do in the privacy of your bathroom, Doc. :) But you're right, it's a no brainer especially with Lamar leaving next year.

Must you always go to my pants when "joking"? Do you have a man-crush? :shifty:
:winkglasses:

Imagine Kobe, Pau and Shaq against KG, PP and Allen in the Finals?

Stern would be in the "bathroom" over that one...ratings would go thru the ROOF!!! Most watched Finals EVER...and for the forseeable future!!!!!!

Let's not get ahead of ourselves, Doc. Those Sleeping Giants -- the San Antonio Spurs -- have not signed over their Team of the Decade award to the Lakers and are on a mission of their own. Besides, I plan on seeing a healthy Andrew Bynum patrolling the lane in the playoffs!

Spurs this decade, 3 championships
Lakers this decade, 3 championships, 5 finals appearances

I think this decade is ours unless they win another championship

That's what I'm trying to say. You just can't rule out the Spurs.

Shaq is averaging those numbers because he is the focal point of offense, and their game suits him well (while Nash and Barbosa suffers)... Unless he can play back to back games and lose some weight, then no thanks... We need every win we can get, and the last thing I want is Shaq sitting out...

He better starts, regardless of Bynum's return (if he ever does), since he cannot run with the 2nd unit, not to mention his huge ego...

And If Shaq does return, I don't want to hear complaints about their P&R defense becoming worse (when it is already bad), and Shaq being on injured list...

Would I get rid Odom for him? Well, maybe... He is a 14 mil expiring and has no drama attached, and we could get a a better package... Let the offers come to us...

That's the point. He'd be the focal point of our offense if we brought him in here. He only takes 11 shots a game and gets those type of numbers. You want your offense to run through your big man.

And when Bynum returns, he'd come off the bench so we don't rush him coming back from a serious knee injury.

The offense won't run through him, see 2006 Miami Heat and 2007 San Antonio Spurs...

There's the 3 titles that he brought AND his charisma is irreplaceable.
I could see Shaq acting like a clown and joking around how the Big Shaq is The Big Kobe's ball-boy, how Bynum is his next prodigy. He knows he'll be riding their coattails and he'll joke about it. If he was smart, he'll sign for minimum and get the proper sign off before retirement as a Laker. I do see this happening.

He won't get the most shots, but we'll run everything through the post. Just like when Bynum was healthy. Things work MUCh better that way. Kobe doesn't have the energy to put up 60 every night.

ken dont tell me u count that 99 championship as in this decade, plus the 5 finals appearances, we are the team of the past two decades(score)

damn i responded without seeing that the statement pushed everyone's buttons a bit
Again - this team, as currently constructed won't make it out of the second round of the playoffs, let alone the West or win the Finals.---fido on 2011 Lakers

Guys, even if a deal was on the table, and even if both teams basically agreed and were contemplating it, I really doubt the Lakers would pull the trigger without buy-in from Kobe.

If Shaq comes back, he and Kobe need to release a compilation album or something.

I will say this over and over again. Shaq is saying to Kerr right now, "Trade me to the lakers".

If Shaq comes back, he and Kobe need to release a compilation album or something.

LOL... they need to do something like that.

The only public comments I heard from the Lakers were from Jeannie Buss (last year, pretty sure, gotta be), when, after being traded to PHX, Shaq talked about what he might do after his contract ran out, and mentioned going back to LA. (Could've been this pre-season).

Anyway, the FSN sideline guy interviewed Jeannie and mentioned it to her, and she laughed it off, and made comments about Shaq being a "funny guy".

Shaq is way too expensive.
Mike Breen: Walton can tip it. Bryant with the save.
Hubie Brown: Oh you gotta get a shot here

dont think we will get shaq, in an interview he said he wanted to get payed like 9 mil.. and referencing people like dampier who gets paid a boat load and barely contributes...

i'd rather get ron ron, resign TA and try to get back odom for cheap... but if we can get shaq for a vet min.. im all over it lol.. even tho i dont know where he will be in the lineup...

I would trade anyone for Shaq outside of the big 3. I've always been a huge Shaq advocate and never will stop being one.
