Shaq angling for one more chapter to L.A. story

As Shaquille O'Neal last week was praising Kobe Bryant as his greatest teammate, as he was extolling the merits of Phil Jackson as sheer sideline genius, the natural inclination was to wonder where the Suns center was going with all of this.

Hadn't he, in recent years, spoken of how Dwyane Wade was his ultimate sidekick, the perfect pairing he lacked first with Penny and then with Kobe?

I'd trade Sasha for their training staff alone.

Actually, that's a well thought out deal that makes sense. Sasha's minutes are down anyway and Ariza has proved that he can slide over to the 2 when necessary. We get rid of Buzz Kill and replace him with Barnes, who's a good fit on our team. The question is, why would the Suns want to help the Lakers? Even if they were rebuilding, why would they want to assume Sasha's and Buzz Kill's contracts? I realize that LO's contract helps them reduce the payroll for next year, but Sasha and Buzz Kill still hamstring them talent wise, IMO.

Shaq is putting up 18/9 in a system that doesn't suit him well. He'd easily put those numbers up in the triangle.

And when Bynum returns, we won't have to rush him....we could go slow and have him come off the bench.

NOOOOOOO SHAQ NOOOOO WAY!!!!! are you guys crazy?

You didn't care for the 4 Finales appearances while winning 3 straight?

IMO, Kobe would welcome Shaq back more than anybody. They both know they had the best times of their careers when they played together.

Keep in mind too, getting Shaq moves Gasol back to PF which automatically makes us better again.

We're not talking about what you do in the privacy of your bathroom, Doc. :) But you're right, it's a no brainer especially with Lamar leaving next year.

The only reason I wouldn't want him back is because the Haters will then be able to say that Kobe still couldn't win a championship without him. Then again, Magic Johnson never one it without Kareem Abdul Jabbar and Michael Jordan couldn't win one without Scottie Pippen, so who cares. Robert horry, on the other hand, ... WAIT! Did I just say ROBERT HORRY???? hmmmmm And then there's PJ Brown ....
