Ben Gordon, the restricted free agent shooting guard with the Chicago Bulls, admitted that he is at a stalemate in negotiations and that his time in the Windy City may be over.

"Right now, honestly, it doesn't look like it," Gordon said when asked if he'll be back in Chicago this season. "I think a decision is going to be made soon. ... I've had a great time here. I was fortunate enough to play on a team that made the playoffs; I led the team in scoring three of the four seasons I've been here. It's been a good experience, but we haven't been able to come to any common ground. It's just part of the business. You have to do what you have to do sometimes."

So long sucker, see ya, bon voyage, arrivederci, later loser, goodbye, good riddance, peace out, let the doorknob hit ya where the good Lord split ya, don't come back around here no more, hasta la vista, kick rocks, and get the hell out.

Ben rejected twice the money I believe he's worth and that's a damn shame. He's a nice spark off the bench and under the proper circumstances he can be a nice starting 2 guard at times, but for someone who can't play defense, can't create plays for other folks, and is too streaky of a shooter, he's asking for way too much $$$.

How much is BG worth?

Gordon wants 12 million at the moment. Let's take a look at some backcourt players recieving 12 mill or more in this league ...

Ray Allen
Joe Johnson
Mike Bibby
Jason Richardson
Jason Kidd
Allen Iverson
Baron Davis
Dwyane Wade
Michael Redd
Kobe Bryant
Vince Carter
Stephon Marbury
Gilbert Arenas

Want to take a look at some All-Star guards who Ben Gordon is asking to be paid MORE than?

Rip Hamilton (10.0)
Chauncey Billups (10.0)
Steve Nash (11.4)
Tony Parker (10.5)
Manu Ginobili (9.0)

Gordon is worth nothing more than 7-8 million -- and I'm being generous.

Wow, didn't know that last list made that much especially Ginobili. There's no way Ben Gordon gets that much if someone like Ginobili is only getting 9 million.

An undersized, streaky SG who can only score is not worth 12 mil...

Probably.

He isn't getting paid that amount of money in the NBA. No way. He is a shooter, plain and simple. He doesn't do anything else. He doesn't even TRY to do anything else. Why on earth would anyone want to give him that sort of money? I mean, honestly, he's not worth that much more than Sasha. He's a GREAT player to have off of the bench, and a good starter to have, but he's not worth that much money.

Apart from Marbury, he is worth less than anyone on that list.

AMAZING post!

I agree with Massacre broskies... good add with the wants to be paid more then people lol... i would say 7-8 mil is a far amount... he sorta reminds me of larry Hughes... he is just a point machines, who takes high volume shots... granted he will go out there and get u 15-25 a night.. but look who is he playing with right now... Joakim noah and tyrus thomas start.... where is the offense going to come from?

he doesnt do anything more then score... no defense or team play....

12 million for Gordon? He's gotta be kidding. Like Massacre broke it down, Gordon is not worth anywhere near that much money if guys like Ginobli and Parker are being paid less money.
