Joe Crawford of the Los Angeles D-Fenders has been named NBA D-League Performer of the Week for games played during the week of Jan. 27, 2009. Crawford is the first Los Angeles player to earn the honor this season.

Crawford averaged 26.3 points and 4.3 rebounds in three games for the D-Fenders. He led Los Angeles to a 2-1 record, including two wins over the first-place Idaho Stampede.

Ok now switch him with Sun, we need Sun to develop.

I wish Sun was in the D League so that he will develop more instead of just sitting in the bench.

Agree, if i was Yue I would request to play in the D league. It will speed his development.

Can't do that without actually signing him to the Lakers, which would mean that he'd the be the 15th roster spot. He's a FA. Anyone can sign him.

Being a good player in the d-league really isn't that big of a deal...Coby Karl, for example, tears it up in the D-League.

Agreed, but he was better than Sun is now and I'd be pretty sure to guess that Joe right now is better than Sun.

But yea I think 10-day contracts are done for the year, so we can't even sign him to one of those, guess he won't play for us this year at all.

NBDL or not... Joe can ball. I hate the fact that Sun Yue is not getting any burn, whats up with that.. I mean Karl and Farmar got more burn this kid.

If they are bringing him along like this, I 'd rather not have him on the bench at all bring in a kid like JC who has had triangle experience and can maybe produce.

If our bench 3pt shooters keep being inconsistent he needs to be called up.
