As the entire Lakers Nation has been blue regarding the Bynum news, Kobe came out on a mission and put on a historic show that the basketball mecca of the world has never seen before.
Shooting: 19 for 31 Field Goals, 20 for 20 Free Throws.
Kobe racked up 61 Points.
He broke the MSG record of Jordan’s 55 points and broke a Knicks record by Bernard King of 60. Unreal. He left the game to a stunned stanning ovation from the Knicks crowd. I got one word: MVP. With Bynum out, Kobe looks forward to putting this team on his back and car

When we beat the Raptors, Celtics and Cavs, people are going to be opening their eyes like the Knicks fans tonight.

Kobe Bryant scored 34 points in the first half and another 27 in the second for a record-breaking performance at Madison Square Garden and the Knicks. With 61 points, he broke Bernard King's record of 60 points for most points scored at MSG.
He was 19-37 from the floor and 20-20 from the line in just 36 minutes of play on Monday night.
