What about trading Powell, Mihm and Yue for Turiaf (the salaries match) and sign Joe Crawford from the D League (he's tearing it up there).

farmar 1 year older
gasol 1 year more comfortable
kobe 1 year wiser
fisher same

i have to agree with no lateral moves, nor making a trade to just make a trade for a defensive big, i say stand pat and see where this team takes us, but if somehow we land an all-star PF/C like Bosh (i know its pipe) for LO then we make the move but thats about it

Rasheed is nothing special, all he does now is chucking threes and grab technical fouls... With Bynum out, our rebounding will go down, why get rid of our best rebounder?

Shaq would be a great substitute for Bynum plus bring us insurance in case Bynum doesn't come back. He knows the Triangle. Pau would be even more free to do his thing and Shaq would feed off Kobe. LO and Radman for Shaq. If you know Shaq he already told Kerr "Trade me to the Lakers".

Maybe you are right but it certainly would better our chances. Shaq adds more value and experience to us in the Playoffs than Odom. Odom tends to choke in crunch time.

I think a small trade would be ok, there's no way Mihm can provide anything. Maybe trade him or one of our overpaid MLE players for a backup C who can play 10-15mpg.

I think bringing Shaq back would be the greatest move they could make at the moment. Everyone wants to talk about motivational issues, that will not be the case because:

1. He comes back to the team that he has had the most success with.

2. He's going to retire in the next two seasons I believe. He basically gets a free ride to two or three more rings before he retires.

3. He'll play alongside Pau Gasol, which will make things easier for him.

4. Phil, Kobe, Shaq, and Fisher all back together is a good thing.

Btw, one of the dumbest reasons I have seen for NOT signing Shaq on other message boards has to be "Don't bring Shaq back because then Kobe's legacy will always be that he could not win one without Shaq." Who the F cares? That annoys me, just thought I'd share that.

5. He knows the Triangle

6. PJ knows how to work with him and even kobe does.

I honestly wouldn't mind having Shaq back, last 2 months he has been on a tear and they can throw in Matt Barnes too.
