I found this kind of annoying. It's probably just me being a Laker fan but whatever. On ESPN, we constantly hear, "The Celtics Big 3". Well with Bynum's re-emergence, is it time for the Lakers Big 3? The Lakers Triple Threat?

Last night, ESPN described how the Celtics Big 3 combined for 56 points. Meanwhile, on other outlets, it was Bynum and Kobe combining for 57 points? Yet, they only say Gasol chipped in with 21 points. Thats right, the Lakers trio combined for 78 points.

Anyone else bothered by this?

I'm not bothered with these kinds of stuff, I just want to win the ring, I don't care for Big 3's or not.

I wouldn't say I'm "bothered" by this given that their Big 3 are all future Hall of Famers. This is only Pau's second all-star game appearance and the jury is still out on Bynum. Realistically, the Spurs are the only other team in the NBA who can boast a legit Big 3 (Timmy, Tony and Manu). Dwight, Jameer and Rashard don't quite qualify for the Magic despite their all-star status, nor do Yao, Tracy and Ron-Ron (chemistry and injury problems), or Shaqille, Steve and Amare (age and chemistry problems). Am I missing any? Tayshaun, Rip and AI? Caron, Gilbert and Antoine? Ken, Scott P and Doc?

If they do start acknowledging it then what?

What does it really change?

i would have to say 99.9% of non-laker fans double as laker haters

so basically what do we care what ESPN says

they also give our bench 10 times the publicity boston's bench gets

and most of them say we are the best team its not a laker witchhunt its bynum just starting to play like this 2 weeks ago

i mean ESPN just posted the Eddy Curry story yesterday when it cam out last week they are late a lot of times

Not to go off topic... but they posted the Eddy Curry story as soon as it happened. They are just posting news about the funeral now.

Back on topic, like someone else said, does it really matter if they acknowledge it or not? Doesn't change a thing.

i just want that elusive ring

Elusive? We have 14 championships, 3 in this decade alone, 2 other trips to the NBA Finals since the last one in '02, including one (last year) when we were picked to be a fringe playoff team. Maybe you were joking.

he means the one Kobe "HAS" to get to prove "his greatness"...its hard pleasing Laker fans
Again - this team, as currently constructed won't make it out of the second round of the playoffs, let alone the West or win the Finals.---fido on 2011 Lakers
