No, Pau is no2.

Without a doubt. Pau's more experienced and more skilled. Perfect fit to the triangle.

Bynum has the larger upside but as of right now, he hasn't proven that he's consistently going to get close to that upside...not saying that he won't.

Next year? Maybe...but as of right now, Pau's still number 2. There's still plenty of season left for that to change though.

wake up people Drew has finally waken up from his LONG nap...

in the next 10 games, Drew will solidify his place as the 2nd man on the team...

but Pau I would regard still as the 2nd best player on the team...

if that makes any sense ahaha

They'll be off and on switching game by game. Rotates depending on matchups. Good to have that but this won't fix our perimeter defense lol.

That´s what I mean.

I wasn´t meaning with my question to ''who is the best player?''. I was meaning to ''who is in social and popularity terms the 2nd Lakers man''.

It seems to me that socially and in popularity Bynum is a lot more important than Pau.

i have no idea what ur name means or where it's from but i like it...

well to answer your thought... i think bynum's shown he can REALLY explode... i don't think gasol is the type of player that will go out there trying to score 50.

bynum IS.

that's the thing. not too many players in this league will GO AFTER 50. Because most don't even have the ability and more importantly, they don't have the BALLS to go after it... Drew DOES.

Gasol is much more skilled at the moment, and he's an older veteran. Of course he is the 2nd best player.

But I think Drew's physique is rounding out nicely for him and his skills are coming too... Drew is ALL ABOUT confidence. When he is confident and feels comfortable, he is a MONSTER. MUCH MORE than Gasol will EVER be.

That is why Gasol is NOT a franchise player and never will be.

Yes Gasol is the 2nd best player... but watch out... Andrew is about to explode...

NO ONE can stop him when he's in the right mindset... he will start dropping 30/40/50 pts in games with 15-20 reb without trying all that hard...

Oh wait, I quoted the line I didn´t want to quote, and I didn´t quote the line I want to quote. Now I´ve fixed it.

That´s what I´m meaning, the importance of the player in the team, not who of the two is better. Currently if Kobe would leave Lakers, the franchise man would be Bynum and not Pau.

Gasol doesn't score more than 20 points a game because he is not that type of player, and he isn't trying to....

Yes, he just wants to win, not score 50.

I know people love Pau for what he has done, but Bynum is Kareem-like at times while Gasol is Divac 2.0, so I would say by the end of this season, and I am watching th timberwolves game as we speak, BYNUM WILL BE CONSIDERED the 2nd man, then the first man
Again - this team, as currently constructed won't make it out of the second round of the playoffs, let alone the West or win the Finals.---fido on 2011 Lakers

2nd Lakers man? Hell no.

But in january, there are obviously a new Big Three in this league and his name is "Kobe-Gasol-Bynum"

He SHOULD be our 1st option. By the end of this season, and into the playoffs, Bynum will be THE BEST Laker.

Yes he should, but Kobe is both a ball and starling hog

Kobe will learn to feed Bynum more and more... Kind of like body punches to a team in order to soften a team. Then kobe can go back to his specialty, the KNOCKOUT PUNCH.

He will... When Kobe retires

Bynum can average 30 easy. KObe just needs to learn to feed him the balll. He's an automatic 2. There's no other center in the league with his move except for Duncan. He virtually uunstoppable. Now that I have presented my bias opion I feel like sleeping

Jefferson has better moves

Jefferson is better at matching his FGA to his point total. He doesn't have a propensity to draw fouls against the opposing big man due to his finesse style. Bynum is also a superior defender.
