Cha. media wants 15 game suspension!?

Also check this quote out:

Charlotte fans need to pop a midol. If Wallace wouldn't have been injured on the play, nothing would be said. It's unfortunate he was seriously injured. But im sure Bynum didnt mean to break his ribs and collapse his lungs.

You can see that Andrew's elbow is in the way when Wallace is coming thru

i dunno man im still not sure.

how come no flagrant no suspension for this blatant mugging?

A fine, maybe. A suspension is ridiculous, however. It looked like Wallace just went up in the air, and Bynum reacted slowly, hope Wallace is ok, because many bad things can happen when airborne..

I'd plow Vanessa Bryant.

Good work, MDI. Maybe I'm biased, but I don't see anything intentional at all there. Gerald Wallace is a very aggressive player (one of the reason's I love his game). Andrew came over to defend him, put his arms up, and caught him wrong, but it was completely unintentional. It wasn't like he went out of his way to impede him by not making a basketball play. His timing was off.

It should have been a charge, like when Shaq got fouled in the elbow by Mutombo's chin in the 2001 finals.

it wasn't on purpose however i do feel that if it would have been an ejection, then, you can make an argument for a suspension.

Do you guys remember the flagrant/ejection on Ronny last year when he started C against the sonics?

That was less than this and he got ejected.

And i can honestly say as far as if this was one of our players i would have been out of my seat yelling for a suspension.

But dont blame the fans, what if that was what happened to Ariza?

By the way, Wallace's lung has been returned to 100% function and he'll probably miss 1 or 2 games. Good news.

So I know this person who went to the game

Also, found this on another board...

InsideHoops

Listening to Bobcats Pregame and they said Andrew waited at the Bobcat's team bus after the game to try and apologize to Coach Brown, the team, and was trying to find out if he could visit Gerald in the hospital. Also said Andrew's agent called Coach LB numerous times this morning expressing Andrew's concern about Gerald. Way to step up and be a man Andrew, I forgive you.

Yeah man, and seriously, after talking to Drew personally a few times - he is big on basketball. His mindset is tough, but not dirty.

whats weird is it wasn't really an elbow

looked more like his tricep and in the game its obvious it wasn't intentional

its like if allen iverson was driving the lane and stepped on fishers foot making him fall face first and shattering his face or something

wasn't intentional but the injury was serious

the league is supposed to discipline on the foul not the result

I just don't know why but I'm not convinced Wallace got hurt off the collision but more on the fall to the floor.
