Oh wow that sucks. It's unfortunate that this happened and it did look really painful on TV. I hope he gets well soon.

Honestly if not treated correctly or quickly this could escalate to something really severe.
Hope he's ok.

is this different from when they said possible collapsed lung on lakers live?

at that point they reiterated that its just speculation, and that they won't know more until they get him to the hospital

Got word he has a collapsed lung but should be ok. If only a small part of the lung is collapsed, it may heal by itself. But if a large collapse is not treated, your lungs may fail or become infected (which WON'T be the case since he is hospitalized).

MDI - I'm sure this is the million dollar question

Charlotte Bobcats forward Gerald Wallace has been taken to a Los Angeles hospital where he will likely spend the night while being tested for a possible collapsed lung and fractured rib.

Wallace was taken to Centinela Hospital to have a CT scan to check for a collapsed lung. An X-ray at Staples Center indicated no fracture, but as a precaution, Wallace is going to get a second X-ray at the hospital.

Wallace was injured in the fourth quarter of the Bobcats' double-overtime victory over the Lakers when center Andrew Bynum hip-checked Wallace to the floor on a drive to the basket. Bynum was called for a flagrant foul, and Wallace had to be helped to the locker room by teammates.

:(

I always root for the guy. He gets a major concussion or some hard injury like this every single year, it's too much. I wish the best for Gerald.
