its not even that different

the defense will always put their best defender on Kobe

its basically changing roles on offense

This could be frought with problems... Odom is not a reliable perimeter shooter and it takes him away from the boards where he is very good. I assume the latter will be taken care of by Bynum and Gasol. It does save the wear and tear on Bryant. Odom does have good court vision and being an adept passer I see where the coaching staff is thinking. Would it work? Theory wise it is logical but it will be shaky at best.

Ehh this doesn't seem all that reasonable but if were playing a small line up this could do some damage to other teams.
