Glad to see the offense picking up lately. But it's still not consistent enough

Alright im a Yankees fan but i saw this Angels Rumor and since this is the Angels thread imma leave this rumor here for you Angels fan to Read

Angels eyeing Manny Ramirez

Manny Ramirez is said by a friend to be "very, very frustrated'' over his contract, which includes team options for $20 million for both 2009 and 2010 and gives the Red Sox the power. Ramirez would prefer Boston to either extend him or release him after this year, allowing him to shop himself to all suitors. He is said by some to have his eye on the Angels, whose only obvious need is for another big bat and who may have Vladimir Guerrero coming off the books after the season. An Angels person said they don't expect to make any major changes before the July 31 trade deadline.

One of the greatest hitters of all time, but I wouldn't want him on the Angels. He doesn't fit the Angels system at all, almost in every way. He makes GA's outfield defense look like golden glove material. He is also 36 I believe, correct me if I'm wrong, and the Red Sox are going to ask for a lot and everyone knows how stingy the Angels are when it comes to dealing their players. This probably has a 1% chance of happening in my opinion.

^ Impossible for him to become a DH then because of his defensive liability?

He rarely runs out plays. That would be another reason why the Sox organization is upset with him.

Angels wont get rid of Figgins. If they're going to get rid of anyone for Teixeira it's going to start with our outfield (Willits, Rivera, GMJ) along with some minor leaguers. I really hope they can get rid of Wood though. I'm really hoping the Angels can pull through on getting him, but it looks doubtful. Arte still owes us a big bat like he promised and this is his chance to put the Angels over the top.

The reason i would offer Figgins is because of the emergance of Eric Aybar, he can play great d, steal and is a .280 batter.

I wouldn't care if Figgins got traded, but we all know the Angels hold him in such high regard that it probably wont happen. I don't think anybody can ignore how much Aybar offers this team though. Would be nice to see him in the lineup more often.

Weaver doing a great job so far!

Figgins is in a big slump right now. Once he starts getting on base, steal, we'll start to score more runs. Plus he can play pretty much any position. Many teams would probably want figgins and it wont cost them too much. Now.. lets score some runs against Boston.

Wow, rare suicide squeeze by the Angels, successful. Makes it 7-2 in a 6 run 6th for the Angels so far. Lovely.

Anybody else watching this game at all? It's the Angels @ Boston, @ Fenway Park.

I'm watching. It's so nice to see Kotchman hitting for power this past week. Not to mention Torii is getting into his groove ever since coming back.

Yes! great to see the Halos with some fire. 6 runs in the top of the sixth. They might just give Boston an extra run to give K-rod the save opportunity. lol.. nah, forget it, blow them out!

Great win, & we keep dominating the Red Sox so far in the regular season. Angel fans can only pray it carries over to the playoffs. We all talk about wanting one more big bat, well most of us, but if T. Hunter can keep this up as well as Kotchman & especially Rivera over GMJ, things might look better than we think.

Watching Angels Live after the game right now, man, Lindsay Soto is HOT!

Angels will be looking for their 7th straight win against the Red Sox tomorrow.

Yup! dominating the Red Sox. Keep it up! But Shields and K-rod have some bad luck juju against them. Especially Manny. GetRidofMannyInBoston.com. Nice that K-rod got another save.
