i personally enjoyed this movie

but a lot of indians argue that it doesn't represent them correctly/it's too heavily influenced by western themes.

in a way, you gotta agree

So I finally saw this film a few days ago with one of my best cousins on blu-ray in 1080p. Honestly to me, it was alright, but certainly not worth nor matching all the hype, praise, and many awards it got.

I didn't exactly enjoy the pace particularly to start the movie like the first half & stuff and I had no idea, dumb as I am I guess, that the movie would feature that game show so damn much.

It was pretty cool however, seeing so much of the Indian culture and them speaking the language and all. Seemed pretty fun.

My cousin and I started speaking English with the accent after wards and it turns out, I'm actually pretty good.

The chick was cute, but certainly not like smokin' hot in my eyes so another overrated thing there imo somewhat.

The toilet scene was obviously quite arguably the best scene of the whole movie and that dude that died at the end with all the cash was an absolute effin' [expletive].

Anyway, all in all, the best thing the movie had going for it is that it took you to a totally different world and I think I learned a lot of things about Indian culture.

It's a solid movie. Only thing I didn't like is the kids speaking English. There's no way kids from the slums know how to speak English that fluently.

Yes I know that. In fact, all of India was a British colony for a hundred years.

Just the fact that the kids were speaking fluent English made no sense to me. People who are educated there know how to speak English; not kids from the slums. Other than that, it's a good movie.
