Posted ImageIn hindsight, Garnett still laughs to himself about the pressure the Lakers put on themselves leading up to that Christmas Day win.€œThe Lakers felt like that game was the championship,€ he said. €œSome of the comments those guys made were incredible, and it was just the regular season. It was kind of comical. But we knew that we just had to move on from that.€

yeah after that game they sucked balls so they probably did take it to hard. Just watch the next game well beat them.

It's also kind of comical how we got into your heads. Losing 7 out of 9? Embarrassing.

Nice picture...from the Nets/Celtics game.

The Boston Herald doesn't fool anyone.

By the way, minus the blowout win they had, Ryan Anderson did drop 13/4 on Garnett in 25 minutes or so. I don't know why he's in such a good mood.

He's just covering up that pain he's feeling deep inside still about the Christmas Day loss - AND the number of losses after.

He can talk all the crap he wants since we embarrassed ourselves in last year's finales. The only way to end the embarrassment is to win this year. Bynum is the key.
Gooden>> Lamar Odom. Mo Williams>> Ray Allen>> Gasol. Nene= Gasol.

Pretty pathetic. He's laughing at his team losing.

Denial is a strong thing.

The Lakers exposed the Celtics.

If it wasn't a big deal he wouldn't have the thoughts fresh in his head, he would've forgotten about it. But he hasn't and this is the way he builds up the facade for himself and his teammates. Simple psychology of the damaged.

Its the old saying - "Lie to yourself enough and it becomes the truth."

that fact that he's even still willing to discuss this shows its in his head. he should be addressing why they lost 7 out of 9 games, not what the lakers were doing a month ago. i don't see every post game interview, but we won, and i'm pretty sure we're not still talking about it

They had won 19 straight coming into that game and if they win that, the schedule in front of them was pretty light and could have given them a shot at 34 in a row (NBA record). Instead they lose to a team who had been playing average ball (by Laker standards) and they proceeded to drop 7 of their next nine to a very average or below average slate of opponents. Just a regular season game KG? Really? That regular season game sent your team spiraling out of control from where you had a strangle hold on the best record in basketball to where you are now with 3 other teams all around you.

You guys have the last laugh because you're champs, but don't insult the general NBA fan's intelligence by lying about the importance of that game, trying to make us believe you're above what happened there.
