One stat that really makes me smile is the following:

  • Since the 1986-87 season, Andrew Bynum (42 points) is the first Laker not named Shaquille O'Neal to have a 40-point, 15-rebound game. Shaq did it seven times with Los Angeles.

A few things make me believe we are truly spoiled with Kobe's greatness and Bynum's first 40 point game could elevate him a ton.

HE let DEANDRE JORDAN drop 24 on him, with 10-11 shooting. But otherwise it was a great performace from some one other than Kobe.

Who cares, 42/15/3 is SICK. Kobe shot 5-15 I think, but no one's talking about that.

Very impressive Drew.

Only Yao Ming (41), Eddy Curry (43) and of course Shaq have scored over 40.

He's got the third highest total for active centers.
