Last season LBJ missed 5 games over a strained finger on his left han HIS LEFT HAND. Kobe is basically playing with 8 fingers. Kobe may not get the mvp this year because his numbers will go down because of the injury. Do you guy think kobe deserves this award this year he is playing well enough and had another triple double last night kobe has had 45 assist through 3 games (the best assist stretch in his career)

I think Lebron will win it this year, because I do believe we will finish with roughly the same record. His teammates aren't as good as ours, so that right there would probably give him the nod for the MVP award.

Kobe would have to make the lakers win at least 10 games more than the cavs and have somewhat equal stats to win the mvp award. Lakers have a better team than the cavs so the bar has to be higher for the lakers/Kobe.

According to logic here, Anderson Varejao = Bynum, Igauskus = Gasol, Old wallace = Bynum, lmao.

I wouldn't break it down that way. My logic is the lakers without Kobe are better than the Cavs without Lebron. That is pretty much self-evident.

LeBron has heart, no doubt.

But Kobe is a one-of-a-kind.

Oh, but you're reasonable. People justifying Kobe for MVP have told me that Lebron plays on an equally good team as the Lakers. That just makes me roll my eyes. LeBron doesn't have a top 10 player in Gasol next to him. Ig is good, but nowhere near as good as Gasol. Bynum is also superior to Wallace who has aged and is not even half the player he once was.

I believe Lebron is going to be better than kobe someday (according to the stats), but Kobe will always play with more heart.

^its a little cliche for saying, but he needs 3 rings first

and yes, i believe the only way kobe gets the mvp above lebron this year is if we somehow come out with only 10 losses (45 game win streak anyone?)

Kobe is one of the toughest players in the league, and even that aspect of his game is underrated. But anyways, Lebron for MVP this year.

wtf??? :nervous: lebron? hell no!!! :nah:

Great analysis. You've convinced me, Lebron sucks.

Kobe fans are ridiculous.

Lol

LOL look, MVP going to Kobe is only once, let's go for Finals MVP instead. We know better that the regular season MVP was like rigged the previous seasons maybe....

You know Kobe will probably go down as my favorite player because I got to experience his growth from high school to the NBA and he helped to increase and expand my basketball knowledge when I was a little girl who just started playing basketball. I was always a Magic fan and I always liked him more than MJ but for the most part I missed his best years because I was unfortunately too young. But none of them got me more excited than Kobe; hell I remember being more excited about him than I was about Shaq and Shaq even called my house years ago.

With that said, this need to feed an insecurity is getting embarrassing. Kobe is an excellent player but threads like this just reek of a desperate need to put down another player because you feel threatened. I'm a Kobe fan and I'll always be a Lakers fan, but come on. What's next "Kobe's fingernails are better groomed than Lebron's?" I would still take Kobe over Lebron, but don't be afraid to enjoy other great players while you have the chance to.

first off the way kobe gets the MVP is the same way he got it last year

chris paul was the favorite and rightfully so but the team hit a slide while kobe kept the team consistent

thats the way he wins it

if cleveland wins anywhere near 55 games lebron gets it and deservedly so

i will say this yeah lebrons team isn't as talented but they are exactly the type of team a guy like lebron who likes to dominate the ball needs

lebron is an unselfish allen iverson he needs shooters, defenders, and rebounders

and hes got exactly that therefore they are successful lebron wouldn't be as successful with a post guy as kobe

but kobe wouldn't succeed as much with a lebron type supporting cast

the truth of the matter is kobe and lebron are so different in styles both like the ball in their hands but one of them is at his best with an elite post guy to play off of and another is at his best with unbelievable spacing and defensive teammates so the other team can miss shots and he can fastbreak and so he can drive and kick to shooters

lebron deserves it so far but like chris paul last year that could change

its like i said lebron was by far playing the best basketball in the world from october to december from mid december to now noone is close to kobe

by may who knows its been a ever changing situation

He once reached the Finals with Larry Hughes, Big Z, and Drew Gooden... People acting Lebron James is lazy like Eddie Curry...
