This worse or last summer? I'd say last summer being closer to reality than this...
Last summer was worse because it was an NBA team where he'd be getting paid the same money, playing for a rival. But this is $50 million dollars a year! I wouldn't be upset with anyone for taking the money. It isn't being greedy, its being smart.

Yeah but we all hate to see someone we love so much to leave the league....

What on Earth makes you think ANY player is playing for the fans?

Before you get all upset, how do we know Kobe really is leaving for Europe? We don't. Kobe won't leave for Europe at his age. He wants to be the best, plain and simple. He has a better chance of winning NBA Championships on this team than any other team. He will be hear for at least another 5 years.
Speculation seems to drive people's minds crazy.

He's going to considering offers from Europe, sure, but actually leaving? That's a whole matter altogether.

Yes, but the most important thing is that he is NOT going to Europe this year. Kobe loves Italy, and he will go there one day, but not for several years.

Yes, I read the whole comment. And again... what makes you think any NBA players is playing for the love of the fans? As for LA, its a city, just like any other major market city. Love of bball? They don't play bball in Europe? The smackdown they've given the USA in the Olympics recently, says otherwise.

Stern's not the one who imposed the salary cap or the one who can remove it.him and Lebron are doing this so that David Stern removes salary cap
These are just threats to make David Stern move IMO
Stern can't do anything about salary caps without the consent of the team owners and the players.
Stern is just the guy who heads the office that sees that the rules are enforeced. He works for the team owners.
