If he considered going to the freakin' Clippers, am sure he'll take the $50 million to play in Europe.

you guys shouldn't be worried that he's leaving the lakers because HE ISN'T. This is another one of kobe's ploys to make his teammates better, just like his Bynum tirade. He is threatening to leave again just so that his teamates step up so they can win the title. Mitch already called his bluff last summer, next summer kobe isn't leaving.lol

Last summer was worse because it was an NBA team where he'd be getting paid the same money, playing for a rival. But this is $50 million dollars a year! I wouldn't be upset with anyone for taking the money. It isn't being greedy, its being smart.

No way Kobe leaves. Like I said before in the past, he's still got some unfinished business to take care of. He'll most likely leave toward the end of his career or something.

Before you get all upset, how do we know Kobe really is leaving for Europe? We don't. Kobe won't leave for Europe at his age. He wants to be the best, plain and simple. He has a better chance of winning NBA Championships on this team than any other team. He will be hear for at least another 5 years.

Speculation seems to drive people's minds crazy.

I love how the media makes things overly dramatic...

He's going to considering offers from Europe, sure, but actually leaving? That's a whole matter altogether.

Yes, but the most important thing is that he is NOT going to Europe this year. Kobe loves Italy, and he will go there one day, but not for several years.

Yes, I read the whole comment. And again... what makes you think any NBA players is playing for the love of the fans? As for LA, its a city, just like any other major market city. Love of bball? They don't play bball in Europe? The smackdown they've given the USA in the Olympics recently, says otherwise.

him and Lebron are doing this so that David Stern removes salary cap

These are just threats to make David Stern move IMO

Stern's not the one who imposed the salary cap or the one who can remove it.

Stern can't do anything about salary caps without the consent of the team owners and the players.

Stern is just the guy who heads the office that sees that the rules are enforeced. He works for the team owners.
