If Kobe thinks he's good enough to play, I wouldn't doubt it. I didn't doubt him when he injured his pinky, and I won't doubt him now.

Was this ever a question? The one thing I never doubt is his toughness.

Kobe would never sit out but it might be the smarter choice to sit out.

He will undoubtedly play to bring his leadership. Ideally, he will be able to sit and rest with Fisher most of the game and let our bench carry us through.

And I see so many ppl want him to sit down because we are playing against the clippers....duhz.

At least, make it a blow out, let him rest the 4th. That will be fine for a 'rest', but not a sit out. If he can play, he will play. He will never sit out. That's his dedication to this laker team right now.

stupid kobe

we want you rested and healthy for the brutal stretch run

hes played a ridiculous amount of games in the past year we are playing the clippers and wizards i think we'll be fine if he sits out and rests his legs and hand

what does it hurt

Any time the rotation misses a player, other players have to adapt. That's what it's hurting. You can't underestimate any team in this league.

IMO, it's because of the adaptation that we may have struggled the past few games.

kobes hand and legs being rested>>>>>>>>>>playing in clipper and wizards games

i'm positive we would be able to beat both those teams without kobe otherwise we aren't as good as we thought we were

In their last game, against the Wolves, the Clippers ran with:

C - DeAndre Jordan
PF - Brian Skinner
SF - Al Thornton
SG - Eric Gordon
PG - Mardy Collins
BENCH
SG - Ricky Davis
PF - Steve Novak

That's it.

If we need Kobe for this game, for more than 20 minutes, we need to rebuild.

phil needs to step up and say look we are playing for june sit down for this week rest up the legs and heal the hand then come back refreshed

this business of toughing it out against the clippers and wizards is only hurting our team

if we need kobe to beat these teams we are not a championship team period

in fact he could hurt us and himself

no good can come of him playing except for wins against teams we could have beaten without him anyways

we hope not but it would be safer in general to have him get treated and rest his legs while we practice pounding it inside all day long

it could be better for us for him to sit for these two games and get a legitimate inside game going as our primary option

i mean gasol and bynum all day like against the cavs would be fun to watch again

kobe and bron was awesome but watching the lakers finally show how dominant offensively their 7 footer tandemn can be was pretty exciting to

i would like to see it again

if kobe just wants to come out and rack up 15 assists thats fine but we all know thats not kobe if kobes playing hes full boar and we don't need that against these 2 teams its much more beneficial to sit him

i don't think he needs to play against washington either because while they are significantly more talented than the clippers in their current state it is a home game and gasol, odom, bynum, ariza should be enough to get past the wizards

kobe sitting out for about 5 days would be great for the san antonio game he'd be fresh and ready to go

but i guess since hes playing tommorrow its all for nothing

This is Kobe Bryant we are talking about... Unless his legs are amputated or both eyes became blind, the man will play...

Do I like it? No, we don't need him against the freaking Clippers... But if he said he's fine, then he's fine...

He is a stubborn, tough mofo.
