Why would this question even be asked? :omg: :omg:

CHAMPIONSHIP is the only thing that matters to me.

"If Kobe were traded today, many would follow, but the ones who bleed purple and gold, will continue to cheer for the Lakers. "

true...but im sure most would be disapointed as hell....

but the lakers are a succesful franchize for a reason....(no i dont mean kobe)

i mean the people in charge of the lakers....and i dont see that changing...

L.A dosent go without great players for too long...

i want KOBE to get another chanpionship with the LAKERS....

sure the team means more....but kobe is the catalyst of our teams success and has been for years....

i believe kobe should show la and the fans some loyalty...and we should show him some loyalty

BTW kobe better not ever ask to get traded again....

Oh no doubt we would all be disapointed.

But if hes not a Laker, then he isnt a Laker. I dont have to show him any loyalty if hes on another team. Just like Shaq is on another team, we respect everything he did while he was here, but we dont need to cheer for him. He could never win another game again for all i care.

This question should be rephrased..... Which is more important? LAKERS SUCCESS OR KOBE'S?

Let me ask a different question.... If the Lakers could win 3 straight championships without Kobe or 2 straight championship with Kobe which would you choose? Please answer one and don't wiggle out of it.

3 titles. Lakers success> Player success. This has to be a joke.

Why do you guys pick championship?

Doesn't it make you feel good seeing Kobe succeed, if all of these happened, he could be finally considered better then MJ,

What's so special about a championship anyways, I know that's what the purpose of this whole season/league is but it's just eliminating an opponent in the finals then it's over.

What if he scored 101 points and still lost the game, that would be even worse. The championships are what NBA players want to be successful with and play for. He won't even be considered better than MJ by just scoring more points. If anything he might be considered a better scorer but there's more than just scoring in the game. Play to win, not for stats.

Are you serious?

I was a Laker fan before Kobe got traded to the Lakers and I'm going to be a Laker fan after he retires. I don't really care how many MVP's he wins, scoring titles, all star games, ect... I want championships.

Scoring 101 points doesn't make you better than MJ. Jordan is always going to be the best of all time. I guarantee you that Kobe would pick a championship over MVP awards, scoring titles, all star games, ect..

You must like Kobe more than the Lakers.

Well hopefully he'll think twice before making another useless thread or asking a pointless question with an obvious answer.

look we're obviously a massive appealing franchise, you're gonna have people who are admirers of the players first and then the support the team. Either way you and I don't get to decide where their allegiance is, just disagree and move on, no need to attack the poster.

I avoid personal attacks. I usually direct it towards their threads.

And this has nothing to do with allegiance. It's about asking a question he already knows the answer to. This is a Lakers forum, so obviously the overwhelming answer will be championship. For those who are bigger Kobe fans, their answers will be Kobe's personal accomplishments.

Because hopefully it'll deter further pointless threads that may pollute lakers talk. And I've got 20 seconds to spare in my busy day.

for what its worth i know that i always want to see Kobe have a great game, but championships are oor ultimate goals as a organization
Again - this team, as currently constructed won't make it out of the second round of the playoffs, let alone the West or win the Finals.---fido on 2011 Lakers
