OK I could not make the title long enough here are the two scenerio's:

1:

Kobe wins MVP, Scores 101 in a game (1st NBA scoring performance of all time), wins DPOY, 1st in Scoring

OR

2:

Lakers win championship by Beating Celtics 4-2 :dance1:

WHICH WOULD YOU PICK?

Neither. I'd have Kobe score 10 points in the Finals against Boston, with us beating them by 25pts each game, with Sun Yue being the MVP.

Why do you guys pick championship?

Doesn't it make you feel good seeing Kobe succeed, if all of these happened, he could be finally considered better then MJ,

What's so special about a championship anyways, I know that's what the purpose of this whole season/league is but it's just eliminating an opponent in the finals then it's over.

Yet another reason why not everyone should have the privilege of creating threads...

Read your address bar. Yea, that says "The Lakers Nation" up there.

because a championship shows how strong a team is, and the concept of how each member of a team contributes. picking kobes individual awards over a team effort doesnt do much for the argument against jordan anyways. its a bigger accomplishment to contribute to a championship team as opposed to individual awards that lead to nowhere.

He would be considered better than MJ if he scores 101 points? You do realize Jordan has 3 more rings right?

Basketball is a team sport and I'm sure 90% of the people here are Laker fans first, before Kobe fans. I put the Lakers above players.
