Timberwolves' coach Kevin McHale believes that rookie forward Kevin Love is so far advanced that it's 'ridiculous.'

"He's so far advanced for a 20-year-old, it's ridiculous," McHale said of Love.

Love is averaging 11.4 points and 10.6 rebounds in January.

"It's just confidence and finding myself out there," Love said when asked what had triggered his recent uptick in production. ". . . Working hard in practice and getting in the weight room. That confidence really helps me."

Not surprising as he is a UCLA product.

McHale just has a crush on Love ever since he acquired him.

But still, Love has a very high basketball IQ and that's a good thing since he's not the most athletic guy out there. He could be comparable to Pau Gasol.

I have high hopes for him...but to speak on his skills as being ridiculous, I guess McHale has never seen a rookie Tim Duncan play.

LMAO, he just won't admit he flopped by trading OJ Mayo for him... OJ Mayo for Kevin Love??? Are you kidding me? That is criminal...

Yeah that trade is going to go down in history in about 3 or 4 years.

Love will be decent, but he should've stayed at least another year in college.

That extra year in college would've saved him about 3 years of development in the NBA.

I'm sure McHale is still trying to convince everyone that the KG deal was good for Minnesota too.

Love is going to be an excellent player. I don't know if college would have done him good. He's getting mentored by the best in McHale.
