^a handful of those penalties were holds and imo they were all fair. harrison was almost impossible stop without holding or doubling up on him

There was a roughing the passer and defensive holding called that I didn't like but most of the holding calls were pretty fair.

BTW, speaking about Harrison, I really didn't like what he did on that one punt from Arizona where he pushed and grabbed a Cardinal mutliple times every time he tried to get up. Luckily for him, it was downed on the one yard line anyway so that penalty only pushed them back about a half of a yard.

EDIT: Here's what I'm talking about. Someone posted it in the RT:

The thing is, I'm pretty sure he did even more that the gif doesn't show.

Yeah, it was a great game. Must be so depressing for Cardinal fans though to go so long without a Superbowl, come in this year as underdogs, struggle the entire game, make a miraculous comeback to take the lead, and then still lose the game.

EDIT: Anyone else think there were a lot of iffy calls against the Cards?

Tons of iffy calls. I find it funny that the Steelers main guy punches a guy in the back and gets a little penalty, while the refs were being picky against the Cards for small stuff the whole night.

Oh yeah, but the Steelers are 'America's team'.

I hate the Steelers. Lets leave it at that.

That was a great game. Dissappointed the cards lost and sorry for Warner. That 100 interception return was the difference really. Damn they couldn't bring the guy down. Just a couple of more inches and it would be 10-7 at half. I hope Warner comes back.

Wow

I am not a cardinal fan.

But simply as a human being that gif replay of harrisons penalty just pisses me the [expletive] off.

He should be suspended, get his DPOY status revoked. Something, that [expletive] is straight up inhumane. The guy he is bullying is significantly smaller. That is the worst penalty I have ever seen assessed. 1/2 a yard For that? that should have been first and 20 from the one.

That definitely was the difference. Instead of scoring 7 or at least 3 to take a lead or tie it at the half, you give up 7 to go down by 10 at the half.

Still, after the interception, there's no excuse for letting a big 250 pound guy like Harrison run it 100 yards.

I'm pretty sure it was even worse than the gif shows. IIRC, before the gif starts, when Harrison was holding the guy down, he was just straight out punching him.

I had a lot of respect for Harrison up until that play. The guy--and the gif doesn't show ALL of his antics--sucker punches Francisco in the kindey area and acts the fool. The dude acts like a neanderthal and man, I didn't care for either team but I ended up rooting for the Cardinals in the end.

Man, someone should've told Todd Haley to get the ball to Larry Fitzgerald earlier in the game...they couldn't touch him when they finally had him in motion and running short cut routes...oh well, til next season!

Really was pulling for the Cards, sucks but the last drive was sick for the Steelers. Big Ben came up big when it mattered, pulled an Eli Manning from last year. But of course, he didn't get escape the jaws of life to make an incredible throw-catch, but it's all good :P Haha.

Speaking of money, my uncle would $1,000 last night. And he won $5,000 in the lottery about a month ago. When the Steelers did officially win, he started giving out $20 bills lol He's a G.

It is soo, soo sweet. I've already determined when I go back to college in the fall, I am alternating wearing steelers and lakers jerseys the entire first week.

Just got the Blu Rays of the Championship and The Road To Super Bowl XLIII. Outstanding quality...has all the Playoff games along with The Super Bowl. Added is a regular season game against Baltimore. Makes me sad that the Laker 2009 Championship Blu Ray did not materialize.
