Seven weeks after taking the $1 million off the table as Marbury and the Knicks failed to agree on terms for a split, the two-time All-Star told the newspaper he has an offer to play for another team.
The Knicks have told Marbury a decision now rests with owner James Dolan, the Post reported. The 12-year veteran said he's been waiting to hear from them for several days, according to the paper.
"I'm hoping," Marbury told the Post. "I don't know what the real reason would be if they didn't take it.

Why can't the Knicks just let him go?
I do have a feeling it could be the Lakers.. I mean we would have gotten or brought up a backup pg already, but we are just saving room. It's no question he can help us

As little as $1 mil may seem, it's a significant amount considering he wants a buyout. I guess I'm OKAY with Starbury coming to L.A. if they do buy him out, but it's highly unlikely since $20 million is such a big contract to buyout. I'm assuming the Knicks would rather spread out that money and wait till the season ends.

yeah im guessing that dolan wants more than just1 million, i think if starbury offered like 5 million there would be talks
