Saw it last night. Great movie. It's sort of a tearjerker towards the end.

To be honest it wasn't as great as I expected it to be. They had a lot of great tools but didn't use them.

It really didn't even seem like a story. It was just an average movie really.

Biggie's friendship with Puff could've been portrayed a lot better. Angela Bassett should've been used more too.

They spent too much time focused on making him look like a victim once he became famous. They also should've focused more on his work ethic and his marriage.

Overall I'd give it a 6.5 out of 10. Honestly.

So I guess it's not worth seeing? Or at least watch it once it's out on DVD?

Oh nah, don't let my review stop you from seeing it.

It's just that for someone like me who came in not knowing all that much about Biggie I left the theater and don't feel like I know him anymore than I did coming in. I've seen one documentary on his life before so I had basic knowledge about him but that movie didn't even seem like a story. I don't know what you would call it really.

Nowhere near a classic like a lot of people were expecting. At least not to me.

in other words, tupac resurrection > notorious?

have you seen that heir? that movie gives you a lot about tupac, who he really was, and what he went through
