I have noticed an interesting trend, when teams beat the lakers or play close, emotional games with them (i.e. Boston) it takes a while to recover for them, but the Lakers move on. For example the Pistons beat us, and lost 3 outta 4 including a 26 point loss to the timberwolves. We lost to Indy, they lose 5 in a row following that, we lose to Hornets, they get plastered by the Jazz by 26, we lose to the spurs and they lose to philly by 22. This to me is an amazing trend. I didnt check the kings b/c they are a really bad team, and the teams in FL didnt follow that trend but still, that is a damn interesting trnd to me, and IT ACTUALLY MAKES ME HAPPY. It reminds me of when the Lakers would beat the Spurs or Suns, but lose to Minnesota or Charlotte. What do you guys think? Coincedence or emotional draining?
Again - this team, as currently constructed won't make it out of the second round of the playoffs, let alone the West or win the Finals.---fido on 2011 Lakers

I think it's a coincidence.

Indiana is a pretty bad team too btw.

Yeh I've noticed this as well. They expend a lot of energy on us then I guess the next few games it's been spent. Of course not all the time but I've been noticing this for a while.

San Antone had three days rest. We were down 3 players, on the 2nd night of a back to back, and lost by 1. They go out tonight and lose by 22. Let's see how we do.

Miami Heat won 3 in a row after beating the Lakers, Orlando won 3 games after beating the Lakers. Indiana hasn't had a solid winning streak anyway, Kings haven't done anything special. Hornets lost to great teams after beating the Lakers. They lost to Utah, one of the loudest crowds in the NBA, the knicks, a team who almost beat the Lakers, and the Cavs, who are still undefeated at home. The Philadelphia 76ers were in a 5 game winning streak prior to beating the Spurs today.
