Did Phil Jackson's facial hair look. He was badass.

Gary Payton ruined us (4 PPG), but Phil's decision to put guys like Rush and George in the game, when we needed defense, also had a hand in it, not to mention Ben Wallace playing like he's 7'8" and grabbing thousands of boards over Shaq, and Kobe getting owned on numerous double-teams by Prince and whoever else was on the floor.

If Payton had played better, he could've been an option for Kobe to pass to, but since Malone was hurt and Payton played like he was on his death bed, the Pistons just shut down the Kobe and Shaq connection, and we got whipped.

I'm assuming you were watching this on NBATV earlier. ;)

Thinking about that Finals series makes me sick to my stomach...

That's worse than the 2008 Finals.

Why?

We have four future hall of famers back then.

Phil Jackson has never lost a playoff series when his team owns a home court advantage. First blood! Awww!

That ruined Jerry Buss' 25th year of ownership with the L.A. Lakers. A ring would have been a fitting silver anniversary gift.

Malone was injured though.

But yes, I think so too... Celtics beating the Lakers at the end of the day is more aweful... but you're right, the 2004 finals still hurts...

2008 Finals was worst...

While 2004 was bad enough, we had MAJOR chemistry issues and lack of depth... No playoffs team with Devean George as starter will win a championship anytime soon...

Plus, losing to your enemy, that's gotta hurt... I hate the Celtics 10x more than Kwame Brown and the Clippers combined...

One of the biggest reasons I bought the Lakers was to beat the Celtics …..you just got it into your soul that you couldn't stand the Celtics anymore

My memories of 2004 is Malone being hurt and the stats of Kobe and Shaq in Game 4. That was the first time I had to yell at Kobe to Pass the effing ball.

Yup yup yup. Even though I was watching game 2 where we won, I felt like throwing up remembering how unknown Detroit picked us apart, with Kobe shooting like 10% from the field.

And dammit guys, this thread is about Phil's sexy look, not the painful memories!
