This is no big deal. Kobe usually makes those shots. Any other night this is a win.

big deal to me it just showed that if you trap kobe like crazy the other guys can't make plays for themselves

oh wait the celtics showed that and now the magic reitorated it

kobe spoonfeeds our guys carries them and they let him down

its also a big deal because it shows any team with a halfway decent PG is a serious danger to us

cleveland
utah
new orleans
san antonio
orlando

anybody with me

mihm and vlad for andre miller

do it mitch

I'd do that trade in a heartbeat. Mitch has to do something. Quick. We won't have less than 12 losses come All-Star Weekend if he doesn't.

It makes sense for us, but how about Philly? Why would they want Stiff Mihm and Vlad's crappy contract?

I will get everyone's +/- for each loss to see who is the REAL culprits, some of our guys had worse -'s than both Pau and fish in some games.

yeah but use the eye test

kobe is the only reason we are in most of those games

while pau and fisher find ways to lose them for us

both defensively

Yep, just wanted to see how all the numbers added up. This proves who should be playing in the game in crunch time and not.

Well +/- stats can be VERY misleading, which is why I don't use it on a regular basis. I just let their play speak for the game, and Kobe has been playing well, while Pau and Fish haven't. Bynum hasn't played well either, but he isn't in the game in the late stages where Lakers usually lose it.

we are now what 4-5 in close games

not good especially considering some of the teams we've played in close games

i will say this when your best player has to play almost all game due to injuries and then be expected to single handedly win a game down the stretch

a close game record will look like that

4-4 in games decided by 3 points or less. But if you consider tonights game a close game that means games decided by 6 points. In games decided by 6 points or less Lakers are 7-5

Don't bother with the stats, though. Everyone knows who the problems are for this team, as long as they are watching these games.

Fisher needs to be benched for a better, starting defensive point (Hinrich).

Gasol needs to man up. So does Bynum. Neither can grab a board when we need it for three and a half quarters, and Bynum doesn't even jump half of the time (you saw this tonight).

Ariza is excellent on defense, but thinks he's [expletive]ing Craig Hodges on offense, and launches all of these ill-advised threes when he's not supposed to.

On the other hand, if Vlad isn't hitting his threes, he's about as valuable as I am, sitting on my couch.

I Google'd Chris Mihm and DJ Mbenga, to make sure they were still alive, just in case I needed to create some RIP threads for them in our forums.

Odom plays like James Worthy one game, and Darius Miles in five consecutive games after that.

This team better figure it out, or we won't even get BACK to the Finals.

i don't consider it a 6 point game when you have that extra foul when the game is over and such

this was basically a 3 point game that ended in 6 points
