Anyone checked out Feb and Mar? We're playing the vast majority of our games on the road...VAST majority...

Feb
Mon 02 @ New York
Wed 04 @ Toronto
Thu 05 @ Boston
Sun 08 @ Cleveland
Tue 10 vs Oklahoma City
Wed 11 @ Utah
Tue 17 vs Atlanta
Wed 18 @ Golden State
Fri 20 vs New Orleans
Sun 22 @ Minnesota
Tue 24 @ Oklahoma City
Thu 26 vs Phoenix
Fri 27 @ Denver

9 out of 13 on the road...ouch. The 4 game roadie to start Feb is actually part of a 6 game roadie that starts the end of Jan.
3 back-to-backs.
5 potential losses.

March Opponent
Sun 01 @ Phoenix
Tue 03 vs Memphis
Fri 06 vs Minnesota
Mon 09 @ Portland
Wed 11 @ Houston
Thu 12 @ San Antonio
Sun 15 vs Dallas
Tue 17 vs Philadelphia
Thu 19 vs Golden State
Sat 21 @ Chicago
Tue 24 @ Oklahoma City
Thu 26 @ Detroit
Fri 27 @ New Jersey
Sun 29 @ Atlanta
Tue 31 @ Charlotte

10 of 15 on the road...double ouch. The last game is the first of a back-to-back on 4/1...that last road trip ends up being a 7-game-roadie...ouch.
ONLY 2 back-to-backs.
4-5 potential losses...(if we can get healthy, 4...if not, 5 or 6)

We'll be lucky to still be in the top 3-4 by the start of April...where we end with ONLY 3 out of 8 on the road.

We're gonna have to ratchet it up a notch...this ain't no picnic coming up. It's gonna be make or break time.

yes can't get much worse than 31-7

just kidding

to be honest nothing to worry about all it is is preparing us for when it matters

this is a test of physical and mental toughness and will teach the young'ns how to be tough and how to win tough

winning at home is easy when you have talent winning on the road is hard regardless should be fun

I love it. The harder our test, the more battle-tested we get, and the more we learn. Nothing better than going into hostile environments and shutting up the fans.

It's gonna be make or break time

Well said. We'll see what we're really made out of.

Hopefully this will bring the group together and this will reveal what the team is truly capable of

I hope we pick up another guard from the fa list

Hopefully the FO is completely aware of this and they sign another point guard.

We can't keep the team we have now and expect to stay on top.

teams that win championships in any sport are never the untested teams who faced no adversity and skated through the season

injuries happen, tough schedules happen

its how the team learns from and responds to adversity that matters

last year everything worked out for us we got pau for nothing skated by the regular season and playoffs no adversity everything fine and dandy

what happened a team with battle tested veterans beat us

how to you get battle tested well you fight battles

fight injuries fight tough schedules punch back go 8 straight on the road win even with injuries(not season ending of course)

thats what makes a championship team

be healthy at the end and develop fight develop resolve

kobe and fish have these things this tough stretch and the injuries are a way of lamar, gasol, bynum, farmar(when he gets back), luke, ariza, powell, vlad to develop these things

that way if healthy in june and with all these battles fought we will be better prepared

its like i said mitch said the spot was for emergencies

well having 3 guards one of which is a 34 year old banged up guy, another a 30 year old guy who played in the olympics already and the finals last year, the other someone who can't play NBA basketball in the least bit right now.

sounds like emergency to me

right now we have 1 healthy legitimate guard

sounds like emergency to me

I'd want a veteran ball handler...a Darrell Armstrong, Jacque Vaughn or Damon Stoudamire, someone who can give you quality minutes for now

i bet u farmar comes back as a better defender, when u watch the game from home, u can see wut ur team is doing wrong and try to fix it. I've been wondering the past few games, i wonder if luke, sasha, jordy are watching these games together at eachothers houses.

onto the schedule, it looks tough but it'll be easier than it looks. It will test us, and get us back to where we were last year in terms of road games, last year we were soo good on the road, this will help us regain that confidence on the road, i love road games alot just to see the faces of the other teams fans when kobe just drills a clutch shot.

i just ask for a 20 day player who can spell fish with quality minutes on both sides of the ball

lindsey i would want to keep to teach farmar how to play defense because we all know thats lindseys strong suit

they wont cut him though because thats exactly what they want him to do for rose

12 of the 25 road games are Vs. teams under .500. Lakers vs. teams under .500 on the road is 7-0, teams over .500, 5-3
9 of the 19 games at home are vs teams under .500. Lakers vs teams under .500 @ home 10-0, Over .500, 10-2....just a stat[list]
If Lakers continue that trend.. they will end up with a record of 68-14..but I think they will end up with the exact same record of last year +7 wins..

This isn't going to be as easy as some of you think. It's alot harder to beat a team on their court if it's a close game. The Lakers haven't developed a knock out punch and you can bet that most teams are going to give them their best shot just because they are the Lakers.

Don't be surprised if they drop 10 during that stretch...two 3-game-losing streaks included. (reverse jinx)

If they get Sasha and Jordan back for most of those they will be fine. I don't even care about Luke, wish he wasn't on the team, but they need those 2 guards. LA will win its share of road games if healthy. At the end of the day, all teams have the same number of road games in the course of a season.

They said that last year too. And last year was worse.

I'm not worried about this. We're due for some road games and trips. We've had so many home games its not even funny. I laugh every time I turn on the game and realize we're at home again.

so we.....who went to the finals last years....will be LUCKY....by the grace of GOD to be top 3?

I see faith in your eyes
never you hear the discouraging lies
broken is the promise, betrayal
the healing hand held back by deepened nail
follow the god that failed
