some people put team above state and state above country.

country pride is different then team pride. kobe said a gold is more important to him then a ring. i believe it, you are not going against other Americans, you are with America vs the world. its a beautiful thing.

Countless post of attacking members, should lead to a warning or suspension.

exactly the team is his job while the country is his pride

America is basketballs sport and is the home of the free it is what all stars should be striving to play for

i should report you for acting like a mod and scolding me

i know for a fact that is not allowed on this board but you can keep going i try to keep on subject and you keep calling me out and i'd like to ask you to stop

Do I have to give out warnings or even suspensions? What's so hard about ignoring each other and using the ignore feature, if you can't get along with someone?

You guys are derailing a good thread.

i think its time, both of you agree to disagree and walk away. because going back and forth saying,"your baiting me" is going no place.

so time to just walk away.

to be honest i don't know how to use the ignore feature

look at my posts hes coming after me not the other way around nothing i typed was directed at anyone

except for the crying picture

but that was for the whiney post

ok i'm done now

look at the previous posts of mine i was replying to other peoples posts and was getting lambasted with calls for banning and suspensions

thats one thing that bothers me because i always try my best to add productive banter don't always succeed but i always try

ok i'm done with this

Sometimes you just have to walk away because it's not worth it. Why argue over something that isn't important and is going to get you guys in trouble?

Geez Last Stand, all you seem to do on these threads is complain. Just calm down!

Alright, time for Machinehead to save this thread....

Personally, I like the idea of Kobe playing for the USA. My only concern is keeping him healthy. I would easily take the opportunity to play for USA though if I had the choice.

It would be a no-brainer for me if I had a chance to represent my country. I guess this whole thing has more meaning to me, as I am not a natural born American citizen. I am a naturalized citizen. This country has given me and my family so much, and just the opportunity to represent it would be the best thing that I could do to "repay" my country.

It was a sight to see our U.S. team standing on the podium with their gold medals, pledging allegiance to the flag, while The Star Spangled Banner played.

and the great thing about representing your country is there is no money it is pure pride it takes sports back to high school or little league even

the sport and country nothing else no outside influences

Plus in 2012 ,Kobe will be 33.

If Jordan dropped 40 points at 40 years old
I think a 33 year old Kobe Bryant can win another Gold medal

Guys, we're talking about the world championship in 2010, not about the London Olympics in 2012...

2012 is the big one, and of course the Gold there will come after we win in 2010. Read the article, his final goal is of course being number 1 in 2012.

Good for Kobe. I'd love every pro athlete to be like that.
