well like I said ig news since Kobe is aging and is he committing to Team USA gain you think i's a good move by Kobe? Anyways here is the link and story

Kobe commits to Team USA 2010

Kobe Bryant said Wednesday night he is willing to commit to play for USA Basketball in 2010 at the FIBA World Championship in Turkey in an attempt to qualify for the 2012 Olympics in London, where Bryant expects to go for the gold again. "The chance to represent your country, that's not even a thought-process for me," Bryant said Wednesday. "If they want me to be on it, I'm all game." Bryant's words should stabilize the U.S. ship at a time when many of Bryant's teammates from the 2008 Olympic gold-medal team are choosing to be future international men of mystery. USA Basketball managing director Jerry Colangelo wants to bring back his best players for 2010, because if the U.S. can win the world championship, it would avoid playing in an Olympic qualifying tournament in 2011 and could rest its top guns that summer. The two other leading weapons on the recent U.S. team, LeBron James and Dwyane Wade, are uncertain about 2010. Both might be navigating NBA free agency that summer if they opt out of their current contracts with Cleveland and Miami, respectively.

I don't like it, he already helped them win the gold. Full focus should only be on winning NBA titles for the city that has always supported him and embraced him through tough times.

I love it. I love this country, I love athletes who want to represent their country. I love my Lakers more than anything, but I would always want Kobe to go win a Gold for the USA. Just something about it is so beautiful to watch. When we won that Gold, when I heard our amazing national anthem, while all our men stood on that podium, where you could see the pride in their eyes, something just went through me. It was incredible. I hope to see our Kobe Bryant be a part of it again and again for as long as he can.

It'll be a beautiful thing when he wins his 2nd gold medal.

I love it too... his 4 point play made me so excited during the game (as you can see with my sig).

Kobe, you rock.

I'm not worried about what it will do to him physically. Besides, what Colangelo said makes a lot of sense.

I see faith in your eyes
never you hear the discouraging lies
broken is the promise, betrayal
the healing hand held back by deepened nail
follow the god that failed

You know what I like? I like seeing these young black men with national pride. This nation has survived with blood from many, many blacks, as well as whites. When I see them embrace it, it warms my heart. I am a conservative republican who didn't vote for him, but I REALLY like what I have seen so far from Obama. Maybe he can move us forward another few steps!

I hope this isn't too political.

I don't like it, he already helped them win the gold. Full focus should only be on winning NBA titles for the city that has always supported him and embraced him through tough times.

Kobe's focus has been to the Lakers for 13 seasons now. He got 3 titles so far, with one coming this season. Believe me, even though some of his country doesn't embrace him as a Laker, they embrace him as a member of the U.S. Senior team. It's all about showing pride for your country. If I had a chance to play for the United States, I wouldn't give it any thought, it's a no-brainer.
