No way he goes. Maybe later in his career but not now. He still has some unfinished business to take care of.

Think about it, that's 50 million dollars not taxed.

Kobe's take home from his 20 million is probably around 12-14 million after US taxes. That's HUGE cash. The equivalent of a US 100 million dollar contract in one year after it is taxed. I can easily see him going there for a year or two but maybe not now.

He might want to go home and finish his career in Italy. $50M a year tax free, gets to go home, ect...

But if he goes later on in his career, do you think he'll still be worth $50 mil?

Lets say he 3peats again, he'd go there are 33-34 years of age. I say he'd still tear the league a new one.

He isnt playing the point... the article says he will be playing the 2 guard obviously behind kobe and sasha... throw his name into youtube... and look at the vids... the kid can actually ball... he is really good... well for an international player playing an international game... keep that in mind...

The in a summer league in 2007 he dished out 9 assists in a matter of minutes... they call him the chinese magic johnson lol because he has amazing court vision... also though like most international players he is skin and bones... as for roster sport? i doubt it... he will probably play in the d-league much of his first year, but if he bulks up maybe? who knows... it all depends how well he plays in the olympics and then training camp.. personally i hope he does get a roster spot, because he will draw a huge asian crowd in the west coast... that will make the lakers money... more money=more to spend =) and maybe lower ticket prices (not that it matters since im in Jersey)

But he has a chance to be more popular then Yi, because he has a huge market in LA, but living in Jersey we have new york and jersey has a huge amount of chinese people lol... (me being one of them...)

This kid can ball though... and he can block shots... at his height he isnt afraid to go up with a fast break and swat it... the kid is defensive minded.. the only problem is he was like 217 lb in 2007.... at 6'9" thats not very heavy...

I mean im all for this guy dude....

here are some vids of him.... (keep in mind its the summer league.... and international teams that are terrible...) i mean having watched chinese pro teams makes me wonder if my highschool team could beat them.... they are aweful...

http://www.youtube.c...h?v=P1rua3zTM00 (2007 summer league)

there are some other ones there... i mean just look around its hard to tell whos who in the chinesse videos... since they all look the same =(....

I wonder what he thinks about Sun stuffing D12 this morning in front of a billion people. ;)

I like the kid. He seems like a competitor.
