What?

They picked us to beat the Celtics last year. And our last few wins haven't been too impressive, barely squeaking by teams we should easily beat. I'd rank them above us as well. We need to play defense!
Gooden>> Lamar Odom. Mo Williams>> Ray Allen>> Gasol. Nene= Gasol.

A win is a win when the celtics "barely win" they toughened up and won.
when we "barely win" we are soft and need to toughen up. ahaha its a lose lose situation

The Cavs play defense. We don't. I rank the Cavs above us until somebody other than Kobe starts playing some D.

I wouldn't. Look at the Cavs schedule and results so far:

Their schedule & results so far:

http://sports.espn.g...hedule?team=cle

Our schedule & results so far:

http://sports.espn.g...hedule?team=lal

Ours has obviously been way more difficult overall.

They've played way more crappy teams than we have and more times.

You can't honestly tell me the Cavs have been more impressive.

NO Deron Williams that Utah game too.

Also, they beat Boston when they were vulnerable and playing like crap after WE had to be the team to play them at their very best snapping their hot 19 game winning streak. If it wasn't for us, who knows.. we rattled em' no doubt about it.

lakerfool, take a look at the schedules and results i posted of cleveland's and ours. You honestly think cleveland's has been more impressive? considering the full work of art and quality of competition?

GO look at there schedule so far....the only thing i will give the cavs is that they can beat [expletive]ty teams by big margins which lakers cant nothing else they have their hard games ahead of them.

I don't care about the schedule. Teams are pouring in over 100 points a night regularly. This isn't sustainable. We're not going to be able to make it to the finales if we don't improve our defense. Period.

Look at Orlando's schedule.

http://sports.espn.g...hedule?team=orl

They have a ton of games where they've held the opponent below 90 points.

lakers play at a much faster pace than most teams.....which means more possessions for the opposition which means more points.....stop trying to find anything to nitpick on with this team...sit back enjoy the great season

The Suns and Mavs great offenses were able to win during the regular season. Yet come post season, their lack of defense was exposed.

If you want to rank our awful defense the opposing team to pour in 100+ points over the last 6/7 games, by all means. It just won't translate into post season success.

Faster pace should mean more blocks and steals for our players. Yet Drew is averaging well below 2 blocks a game, Pau's barely averaging one block, Drew can't get 5 rebounds and nobody besides Kobe and Ariza are playing perimeter defense.

We have a ways to go. I'd rather be 7-3 over the last 10 games while playing great defense, and having a few offensive problems than 9-1 with really good offense, but atrocious defense, allowing Indy to put up 119 on us.

your wrong on this though we have not been playing great offense either and are still winning

basically we have been winning on a pure tidal wave of talent

our offense and defense have both been straight garbage the past couple weeks

Did we win it all last year? Or did we get embarrassed by a team with a defensive philosophy?

It works well in the regular season as I said. Ask MVP Steve Nash how those potent Suns did in the post season, and whether allowing your opponent to score 105 a night works at that point in time.
