Backup guard Sasha Vujacic joined the growing list of the Lakers' injured players Monday.
Vujacic suffered back spasms late in the Lakers' victory Sunday over the Miami Heat and did not join the team for its two-game trip to Texas.
The Lakers hope his condition improves and he can play against either the Houston Rockets tonight or the San Antonio Spurs on Wednesday. Vujacic left the practice facility with an electronic stimulator strapped to his back and a smile on his face.
"Right now, I feel like I'm 90 years old, but (today) I'm going to feel like I'm 24 again," he joked as he shuffled from the building in a low crouch less than 24 hours after scoring 10 points and grabbing four rebounds in 19 minutes against Miami.
He might (play against Houston or San Antonio)," Lakers coach Phil Jackson said. "Backs are kind of sporadic. Sasha has had this before, so he knows how to work through it. Right now, this road trip would be tough for him."
