They should have just kept developing him.  Look at them now. No chemistry no anything.   No longer playing like a "young" team, now they are just back to playing like a 'bad' team.

^ Would've happened if the Raiders could've at least made it somewhat competitive & respectable.

Pryor isn't a franchise QB, same thing with McGloin. Saying that, I still believe they can be serviceable starters in the NFL. That's why I'll be irate if the raiders pass on Jadeveon Clowney or Anthony Barr for a QB. Too many bigger holes need to be addressed before we should draft a QB with an early pick.

If Blake Bortles really is drafted with our first pick.... I might lose it.

^ Would you absolutely hate Manziel? I'd be happy with Clowney or Manziel, probably Manziel even more since he's a QB of course & naturally that'd create more potential excitement, especially his style of play.

Manziel will crash and burn with this Raiders roster in the most tremendous way. We need players that can actually nurture a young QB. I don't think Manziel can handle being a QB for such a challenged football team and I hope Oakland doesn't ruin the young man's career to be honest. Barr of Clowney for me. I would be open for Manziel if he somehow drops to the 2nd round...

Besides, I think the QB class next year will be a lot deeper. A seasoned Mariota and uber talented jameis Winston being in the draft.

His life would be destroyed lol

I don't trust the raiders ability in developing Quarterbacks. Especially ones like Manziel, it'll be an ugly mess.

Idk clowney scares me... I don't want a player I can't trust to commit 100% during the game, and that's just one concern off the top of my head about him.
Manziel on the otherhand(still scares me) but I just have this good feeling about him. For some reason I feel that's he's gonna surprise a lot of people and transition into a big time player at the pro level.

Yeah, the more I think about Clowney, the less I want him. Motor is a serious issue, especially when you're dealing with a franchise like our Oakland Raiders. It's very easy for young college kids to just stop playing when they aren't enjoying success on the field. I hope we Barr or Mack though, I don't think this is the year to draft a QB. I rather wait till next year when Winston, Hundley and Petty is available.

Really? Why? He already has a heisman and soon a national championship. No reason for him to want to stay. I even read that he wants to go pro in baseball too and he becomes legible after next year. I can see him entering both drafts the same year.

A little more experience. He red-shirted his freshman year.

I haven't kept up with his baseball career.

Clowney's motivation worries me, seems like once he gets drafted and paid he will coast, I'll admit with the current Raider dysfunction you have now I'd be more worried as opposed to him going to a more structured franchise. I'd still take a QB, Bridegewater is the safer QB of the two, but I still think Manziel's speed, quickness and just take on the game cannot be underestimated. Although regarding Manziel, to a lesser extend the same worries apply to him as Clowney, Manziel loves attention and can become a head case.

^ Did you just barely see this thread after all this time? My goodness, sometimes I wish people looked at more threads more often around the board, but thanks for saving me a potential triple post, lol.

Manziel has the wow factor. We might still lose games, but at least there will be some excitement.

I admit, if you hadn't bumped it I'd still be oblivious lol.

Granted while I am a loyal Raider fan I am not the most football savvy.
