I actually heard the trade was McNabb+Asante for Asomugha, I would do that trade in a hearbeat if I was Al Davis.

Hell no to McNabb. Let's try and grab some protection before we throw a veteran in there.
I'd rather grab a young QB out of the second round, if anything, and just get rid of Russell for a sixth-rounder, for all I care.

My only gripe with it is that the Eagles are done with McNabb for a reason.Kind of a lose/lose situation. Cause normally, if you throw a rookie behind a [expletive]ty line...he's not gonna turn out too good. Veterans are better able to handle playing behind a poor offensive line than a rookie but veterans can be injured far worser.

If we get a rookie that DOESN'T turn out like JaBust Russell, at least we have a chance of keeping him AND improving that line within the next 2-3 years. Quite frankly, I'm done being a believer in Russell. I was done before last season. I spent $120 on a Russell jersey, and I've wanted my money back for a few years now.

He signed a three-year deal back in February or March, 2009.How much longer is Aso under contract? Didn't he sign a big one recently?

So, who's more than likely gonna be the starter for this year? JR? Bruce? Not much depth and talent at that position.

They reported JaMarcus came to camp now at 290, 30 pounds more then last year. Coach Cable has to go with Bruce.

The most recent news was that he's since lost that weight and that he's in shape...more slim...more fit. At least thats what I read.

Just saw on Sportscenter that the Eagles are willing to trade McNabb to Oakland for a top 32 2nd round pick. Idr seeing anything about them wanting Aso in return. Better hop on this raider nation

The Oakland Raiders have emerged as the leading candidate to land quarterback Donovan McNabb in a trade with the Philadelphia Eagles, league sources tell ESPN NFL Insider Adam Schefter.
The sources say all the ingredients for a trade are in place. Of all the teams the Eagles have spoken with, the Raiders have been the most willing to meet the Eagles' asking price. Last week, The Associated Press reported that the Eagles want a pick in the top 42 of the 2010 draft for McNabb. Oakland has a second-round pick that is the 39th overall selection.
Also, the sources say McNabb's contract, which has one year and $11.2 million left on it, has scared off other teams. But, the sources say, Oakland is not concerned that McNabb is due a $6.2 million roster bonus on May 5 nor that the quarterback is scheduled to become a free agent after the 2010 season.
There also are connections between the Raiders and McNabb. Raiders owner Al Davis and McNabb each went to Syracuse, and Oakland's new offensive coordinator, Hue Jackson, is a distant cousin of McNabb's.
