How many pts will he finish with - No idea.
How many total championships - He could very well get another 1 or 2.
Will he have both jerseys retired? - Thats a good question. No doubt they will retire both jersey's i assume.
At least #8
WILL HE EVER GET THE RESPECT AND CREDIT HE DESERVES ( BONUS QUESTION) - By some, but many wont give him his due.

There won't be an accurate place in history for him until its all said and done.
For now, enjoy the ride and watch the Lakers make history - this year.

Jordan at sixth? haha. funny.I'd say at either 8, 9, or 10th of all-time, the thing is he still probably has 5 years left, and he has a good chance to retire over Magic as the greatest of all-time. Sorry Jordan fans, but Jordan is 6th on my list.
Hubie Brown: Oh you gotta get a shot here
Mike Breen: Final Seconds.. Bryant for the win, BANG!

FIXED
Lol, it's similar, but to me.. Dr.J was the FIRST superstar of the NBA, and Duncan is arguably to me the greatest PF in history..
This is the key, Kobe is just 30, and he's got a chance to go down as #1, he might not make it, but he's got the chance, and him still playing is KEY.
I'd plow Vanessa Bryant.

How is Kobe above Shaq when Shaq's been in 2 more finales and won one more ring than him?
to me on the simple fact hes worked harder to get there
i can't stand it when people have gifts and let them waste away

has Shaq ever won a ring without a premier shooting guard?
I'd plow Vanessa Bryant.

Well actually, Shaq has been in only one more Finals, not two. But besides the point, Shaq should still be ahead of Kobe at this point. How is Kobe above Shaq when Shaq's been in 2 more finales and won one more ring than him?

Plus his all-around game is better than than Shaq's, his consistency of work on and off the court (including departments other than the glamour ones - hustle board stuff) is better and his willingness to play with a team.
If the best player is simply counted by rings, then Russell is the best ever. That's simply not true.
Still though, its impossible to place him on some all-time list is impossible when he's still playing.
