I think someone was trying to find all of Kobe's game winners which included his free throws since the lists that were previously posted didn't include any of them, but the list for Michael Jordan's game winners did include free throws.

If you go by 82games.com's definition of game winning shots, it's when there is 24 seconds or less left on the clock where the game is either tied or down by 1 or 2 points. It's sampled data from 2003-04, 2004-05, 2005-06, 2006-07, 2007-08, and 2008-09 (through 2/4) as well as the playoffs in 2004, 2005, 2006, 2007, and 2008. Using the data and the above criteria for what constitutes a game winning opportunity gives us these results:

KOBE BRYANT Regular Season (2003-2009)
FGM	FGA	FG%	FTM	FTA	AST	TOV
14	56	.250	12	15	1	5

KOBE BRYANT Playoffs (2004-2008)
FGM	FGA	FG%	FTM	FTA	AST	TOV
4	8	.500	0	0	0	0

Obviously Kobe takes the most game winning opportunities but this only samples a select amount of years and strictly follows a certain definition. However, based on video clips, I think he has passed Jordan or at least tied him, especially if you include games won by hitting free throws.

So Kobe has the most because of the amount of shots he has taken? Do they have a Jordan FG%?

Who's second to Kobe in the league right now? Anyone have any idea who comes closest & how close more or less? Is it Carmelo, Wade, or LeBron, or someone else?

No, they don't have data for Jordan's.

You guys have to realize that the data recorded was taken from the 2003-04 season until the 2008-09 season through 2/4/09, and the playoffs from 2004-2008.

Kobe passed MJ 2 seasons ago for game winners.
There was a thread that broke down every single game winner by them both and Kobe passed Jordan 2 seasons ago when he went on that tear for game winners.
only Kobe can stop Kobe.

For me a real game winning shot is a shot at the buzzer...

P.S. Kobe hasn't hit a game winning buzzer beater since april 30 2006 :nervous:

P.S. i guess this never happened

You're wrong actually, Jordan has 27 game winning shots, he's had 2 game winners as a Wizard, not one.

Kobe has 26 right now, Jordan is at 27, Kobe at 26.

my question is how much more did kobe miss being fair

I would be interested in this as well. How many shots has Kobe and MJ taken in clutch situations (hit or miss) throughout their careers? Obviously Kobe is still going.

I would say so. In less than 10 seconds. Lakers are up by 1. Why not?

Nah, not a gamewinner tonight. We were already up 1. It was ridiculously clutch though, where's Henry Abbott at?

It's not a game winner because we were already winning.
