Kobe and Nike Basketball just dropped another Zoom Kobe VII video. Seems like the campaign around the shoe will be about how the shoe makes the successful more successful. Interesting concept. The fourth iteration of Kobe's foray into low cut sneakers dropped at Midnight Eastern/9PM Pacific tonight. The Nike Zoom Kobe VII goes a step beyond the previous 3 low cut models, with interchangeable cushioning and support systems that allow the shoe to fit the needs of all types of players. The Kobe VII's "System Supreme" is a performance system allowing players to customize the shoe, switching ankle support and midfoot cushioning. The Nike Kobe VII System Supreme edition includes two interchangeable insert options allowing players to switch out the cushioning and ankle support to match their style of play.

Not that you haven’t already heard (#NBARank has been trending on Twitter in Los Angeles), but according to ESPN, Kobe Bryant is currently the 7th best player in the NBA.

On Wednesday morning, Kobe Bryant stopped by a UCSB classroom where he fielded some questions - specifically addressing Kwame Brown and Smush Parker - during an informal Q&A session with a group of students and their professor.

What we are learning this morning is that 95% done doesn’t guarantee a deal, and an economic deal isn’t a signed contract. There are still some major hurdles to be overcome, most importantly the refusal from certain teams to re-organize their schedules to accommodate Sabatini’s goal of having Bryant showcased in the leagued biggest arenas.
