The Los Angeles Lakers start the 2009-2010 season and defense of their title after a ring ceremony tonight. Then the first of four battles of Los Angeles games has them facing the young and talented new look Clippers without there stud Rookie Blake Griffin.

The Lakers win in Game 3 not only gave the team a 2-1 lead in the series it also saw them take back the home court advantage. It also provided the Lakers with the opportunity to take a commanding 3-1 lead in the series with a win today.


The Lakers are in Denver to face the Nuggets in the third game of the series. The first two games have given us some exciting basketball. Two up-and-down, back and forth games that have been close between two highly skilled teams.


The Lakers used energy, guts, solid defense down the stretch, and playoff experience to mount a tremendous come from behind win in game one. Los Angeles prevailed without playing their best, due to the fact that Kobe refused to let his team lose and the team was able to knock down 11 three point shots


The Lakers return to work two days removed from ending the Rockets season to host the Western Conference Finals as well as face the Nuggets at the Staples Center...


The good news is that the Lakers are back at home. The bad news is that the Lakers lost Game 6 and have to play in an all important Game 7. This isn't the type of situation that the Lakers wanted to be in, they haven't been in this position in a while...


The Lakers made a statement in a series swinging Game 5 by providing the Rockets with a historical 40-point beat-down one that won't be easily forgotten. The Los Angeles Lakers are in Houston set to do the same thing in enemy territory.



With the Lakers off to a poor start, trade rumors have begun to swirl around Kobe Bryant, leading many to speculate if he'll leave for greener pastures. Kobe puts those rumors to rest in his interview with Yahoo Sports.
