So when is Andrew Bynum coming back, exactly? Drew had this to say to some reporters…

ahhhhgrrrL.A.Times: He eased on to a restaurant for lunch, parked his car, sat down and stretched out his long legs just before two female Lakers fans asked about the torn medial collateral ligament Bynum suffered Jan. 31 against the Memphis Grizzlies. They got an autograph and a picture before asking the question that has been on the minds of all Lakers fans.

“When are you coming back?” one asked.

“Two weeks,” Bynum said, smiling. “Hopefully.”

That question has been posed to Bynum “all day, every day.” He has been training rigorously in an attempt to get back after missing the last 29 games.

“I smile at everybody and tell them I want to get back sooner than you all want me back,” Bynum said in an exclusive interview with The Times. “Trust and believe me. All I do is play basketball and not to be able to do it, you just kind of feel out of place.

“I want to play before the playoffs. It’ll be close. I’m looking to make the last couple of games.”

MILWAUKEE — Phil Jackson said Andrew Bynum will take part in more 2-on-2 or 3-on-3 work Thursday — this time with some of his real teammates.

Jackson said he’ll ask some Lakers to play with and against Bynum on Thursday at a Lakers practice that won’t feature full-scale work. If all continues to go well, Bynum will soon graduate to full-contact work and 5-on-5 practice.

Jackson offered the same conservative timetable for Bynum’s return, again saying he looked forward to “a game or two before the (regular) season is over.”

i hope to god this is true, i want him to be great, i want him to recapture what he once was.

but, i need to be hearing this from the coaching staff! they are the ones that make the ultimate choices.

    Gasol on Bynum

Gasol is eager to see how Bynum looks in the next week or so.

“He’s a big piece of our future, our present even,” Gasol said. “In the postseason I think he’s going to have a big impact.”

look the donkey focker is back. Gaynett’s knee is not doing too good for you scrubs. You guys wont get past Orlando.

I’m not expecting too much from Bynum. The kid has not played since January, which was his best month. Who knows what kind of shape he’s in and how long it’s going to take him to get to the way he was playing before the injury.

Everything is speculation right now… nothing to get excited about. I’m going to have to see this kid play in a game before making judgment. We don’t even know if he’s going to play any regular season games the way this is going.

Here’s the rest of our schedule for April:

    4/3 Houston
    4/5 Clips
    4/7 @ Sac
    4/9 Denver
    4/10 @ Portland
    4/12 Memphis
    4/14 Utah

We have 7 games left. The only easy games I see are paper Clips, Sac, and Memphis. The rest are tough. I can’t believe we have to go back to Portland. Den, Port, and Jizz are still fighting for playoff positions. I would like to say these are all winnable games, but we haven’t played very well as of late.

I don’t know it could be a good thing his first game back is vs memphis. Remember the 05-06 season I believe it was when THE LAKERS played the cavs and KOBE got ira newbal in the air and he came down on KOBE’s shoulder and injured him and KOBE’s first game back was vs the cavs. So hay why not let BYNUM get revenge on memphis uno.
