Andrew Bynum looks to work hard this summer for the USA training camp.
O.C. Register: And when this series ends, so will the fun for Bynum. He’s not really supposed to be doing all this game stuff on his not-fully-healed right knee. So he revealed that he is giving up his invitation to USA Basketball’s minicamp in late July in Las Vegas, even though he desperately wants to make a run at the national team for 2010 and definitely the Olympic team for 2012.
“No, I’ve got to get my legs right,” he said. “I’ve got a little rehab set to do, plus I need to take about a month off just to get rid of the tendinitis, just get treatment and loosen up my hips and stuff. It definitely would’ve been fun to do, but I’ve got to get right.”
