I know it’s been a hot topic in Lakers land, but it’s good to hear. Not only are they getting the ball inside, their rhythm and swag is coming back and Pau and Drew are delivering!

Twitter: Bynum: “PJ’s been really, really getting on guys about getting the ball inside.”

    That’s what she said.

      Ba-dum-ching!!!
      LMAO!

  • BE_A_LakerFan

On a serious note.. Bynum needs to begin to play consistently like he did against the Kings. It’s time to start earning that contract young fellah.

I’m not giving up on this team! We are still the team to beat.. I don’t give a d**m about any of these other teams in the West and f**k the Cavs!

    Lakers 2010 Champs!

You are 100% right about this.
Nothing will encourage them to pound the ball inside like consistently good results when they do. 20-10 in the last four games is fantastic. Now make that the normal output through the playoffs and beyond and we can start talking All-Star bids and mentioning him in the fraternity of Great Laker big men.

    Time to hate on PJ!!!

    Whaaaa ? Pounding, eh???
    .
hm … I don’t think pounding the boards is enough. They need to pound the players more. Yes, more flagrant fouls! Drew needs to practice whacking other centers, in case he runs into Shaq. Pau is ‘just getting started’. Both these guys get beaten up all the time, without fouls (I would say, the same is true with Dwight Howard – he has 15 technicals now!!).
    .
Anyway, whatever happens in the playoffs, we all know well that in the Finals, players get to foul to their hearts content. Recall the 2008 series? The CelDicks were a ‘fouling’ team, and the refs didn’t call fouls, because why? because they’re a physical team. The Lakers need to have that rep NOW. RIGHT NOW.
    .
If the Lakers meet the Cavs in the Finals, we ALL KNOW that LeBrick will do whatever he wants, and they will call fouls on the Lakers up the wazoo. SO, let’s EARN our fouls.
    .
Hey, how many technicals does Ron-Ron have? Not many. How about Drew? I think more than Ron-Ron. Well BOTH need to hit some more. POUND some more. Knock some players down. Kobe has more technicals than the rest of the Lakers – he knows. And he’s the best player on that team.
    .
Time to step up, Lakers – POUND POUND POUND — get the league used to that. Then, when LeBoob gets knocked down, HARD, the refs will just think, “Well, those Lakers, they’re just a physical team”. The Nuggets will be a good team to practice on, since they are physical too. Flatten JR Smith – Birdman, etc. … Go get em, Lakers.
    .
It’s gonna be a fun playoff series, and an even better Finals.

Drew and Pau playing well over the last few games, unfortunately, is just smoke and mirrors. Those teams were inferior on the inside. Pau and Drew are going to need to show that they can bang bodies with the likes of Denver, Orlando, Cleveland, etc. Whenever the Lakers play teams with other capable bigs, Drew and Pau get pushed around. You just have to watch the two games against the Cavs to understand.

I love my Lakers but I would be dishonest if I said that it wasn’t a concern. My biggest concern, however, is speedy guards getting into the lane. That continues to rear it’s ugly!

This MOFO needs to stop talking about offense. Damn Bynum don’t you get enough touches already!!!!!!! Concentrate on the defensive side and scoring on put backs and grabbing rebounds. The points will come. Stop wanting the ball and clogging the lane all the time. You gotta work on your passing from the post too. You just got hurt and unfortunately for you, the offense runs alot smoother through Pau playing the inside low post. Always talking about offense!!!!! Shut yo trap and talk about grabbing boards and blocking shots!!!!!!
