It’s an interesting concept. After his NBA career is over, could we see Kobe overseas?

Picture 1PCWorld: Kobe Bryant raised some eyebrows with a comment made at a Chinese technological forum on Friday.

“There are so many metaphors between basketball and life,” Bryant said at the event, which was also attended by former president Bill Clinton. “When you win, you have to constantly look for ways to get better. That’s what drives me in competition.”

Basketball is the most popular sport in China and the country is working hard to raise the profile of its own professional league.

At a press event after the forum, Bryant shocked many by saying that he’d consider playing in China down the road.

“I love playing, it’s something I’m open to,” he said.

he will be disappointing more then 1/2 of the world population if he said “No i will never play for China” Kobe is the most popular player in China! He needs to sell his shoes and jerseys.. but yeah I doubt he will go to China League.

i agree with NBAmazingKB24. This is nothing more than a polite response from a business-savvy NBA player. He obviously didn’t want to bite the proverbial hand that’s feeding him.

Hey “NBAmazingKB24″; you sound like an IDIOT!!! This man doesn’t “need” to sell his shoes and jerseys?!?!? You sound like some fool regurgitating what you hear idiotic marketing analyst that don’t know crap about the sport (or the biz of the sport) say. Do you realize Kobe has already amassed a fortune that will be around for his great, great grandkids to benefit from (unless he completely screws it off…which is not his style). His shoes & jersey sales constitute “tip money” in this man’s life.

You sound like an idiot. “This man dosent need to sell anything cuz he is soo high in fortune?” “TIP?” LOL you have got to be joking me. Nike (products)? commercials, misc stuff? all tip? YOU DONT KNOW BIZ BRO! so stop acting like you do.
