After an examination this morning by Dr. Ken Jung, a foot specialist with the Kerlan- Jobe Orthopedic Group, it is estimated that Ariza will be out approximately eight weeks.

L.A. Times: As if the Lakers needed this to happen.

Forward Trevor Ariza was diagnosed with a fractured bone in his right foot after hurting it today at practice. Ariza will see foot specialist Kenneth Jung on Monday, at which point a timetable for his return will be determined.

It was unclear exactly how Ariza injured the fourth metatarsal in his foot, but he apparently came down on Lamar Odom’s foot.

“He got tangled up with Lamar,” Coach Phil Jackson said a few minutes after Ariza left practice for X-rays at Centinela Hospital Medical Center.

Ariza became a fixture on the Lakers’ second unit after being acquired from Orlando in November. He was averaging 6.5 points and 3.5 rebounds in 18 minutes a game.

Ariza, who also started three games, had been an active defender for the Lakers, who liked his length and speed.

The Lakers are without Andrew Bynum for at least seven more weeks and Chris Mihm for at least another week, although it will probably be longer than that until he returns.

Haha I was thinking the same thing.

Though I do wonder who Lamars going to take out next. Kobe maybe?
First Bynum hurt by Lamars foot and now Ariza. Even with Ariza out we’ll be ok, its still really early in the season. I just hope we have enough luck so we can enter the playoffs strong and at full health, thats all that really matters.

  • LakersFirst (Change) (Close)

Ouch!!! Unfortunately this is like last year (same time too, January!!). Lakers were rolling as a team, now this happens. I think the Lakers are cursed. Let’s count the injuries this year:

    – Bynum (we all know)
    – Ariza (this sucks)
    – Radman (when healthy he is good, when hurt well, that’s another story)
    – Walton (its obvious the guy has no lift when he tries to elevate)
    – Mihm (he’ll never be the same after that ankle injury)
    – Brown (hurt is knee and ankle, AGAIN, at the beginning of the year.
    – Sasha (back spasms. If anybody as a back spasm, you know how crippling they are. You can’t do anything without your back.
    – Turiaf (had a sprained ankle at the beginning of the year but seems to be over it).

Half the team has been injured. This is a shame too because when this team is healthy, they are damn good, despite what many negative Laker fans think.

  • bryan

Ariza has a history with foot injuries. Luke needs to step it up now.

  • somelakerfan1

trade him or something probably hill injure the whole team lol

Black Sundays…… Come on guys, don’t blame everything on Lamar, you know it’s not his fault.

Moves by Mitch since Shaq Left:

    Vlade Divac: 2yrs/10mil didn’t play

    Aaron Mckie: 2yrs/5mil didn’t play

Smush Parker: 2yrs piece of sh*t

    Caron Butler: gave away

  • drake hunter

I guess the Laker Jinx is jumping for a rebound because everyone on the team has sprained an ankle the exact same way from Kobe to Mihm except for Lamar whos our leading rebounder and yet he is the cause of all the injuries related to rebounding. How ironic is that!

  • T-Dub

    Kwame Brown: see Caron Butler

Chris Mihm: 1st rnd pick, re-signed at 2yrs/5mil doesn’t ply

    Vladrad: 5yrs/30mil doesn’t play

Luke Walton: re-signed at 6YRS/30mil on the court, can’t play

    Brian Cook: re-signed 3yrs/11mil

T-DubSh*t – I’m not sure this post makes any sense. Why are you blaming Mitch for all the injuries are sustaining? Mitch has built a good team, of course, when there are a slew of injuries, even the best teams are going to suffer. You blame Mitch for the Lakers having a bad record, which they don’t, but injuries killed the season last year and are beginning to cloud this season as well.

  • LakersFirst

What injuries does Kobe have??? I haven’t heard of any injuries since the groin.

  • LakersFirst

[Comment ID #23035 Will Be Quoted Here]

T-DubSh*t – Another meaningless post from you where I am going to destroy your argument

Caron – Lakers weren’t going to resign him anyways and needed a big man. Lakers couldn’t sign a big man as a free agent because they were over the cap limit. Caron was the only tradable asset.

Chis Mihm – I’m not sure where the fact that he was a 1st round pick comes into play because the Lakers didn’t draft him. Yes, we was resigned for 2 years at $5M (he has a player option to opt out after the first year). What you probably didn’t realize is that Mihm asked for 3 years at $15M, which Mitch turned down. Seeing how no one was sure how quickly Bynum was going to develop, the Lakers signed him because there was no other big man to sign.

VladRad – PJ and Kobe wanted him idiot!!

Walton – Not sure if you noticed, but last year after Walton went down to a sprained ankle, in January the Lakers record plummeted. What do you know, when he came back (and LO), they started playing better. He now has another ankle injury.

Cook – Traded away for Trevor Ariza, but of course you won’t give Mitch any credit for this trade because again you can’t be positive (more proof that you really are NOT a Laker fan).

You say you can do a better job, then prove it. What would you do it oh great GM? I’ve challenged you on this before and you’ve ignored because you’re all talk (typical p*ssy), now what would you do if you’re so great?

  • Sako

all the dreams of a championship team this year, then thanks to lamar odom’s foot of terror, he keeps injuring our stars, bynum, now ariza, kobe this coming sunday, then fisher the sunday after that, & if we’re lucky, kwame the next sunday, & for that week he’ll be the star of the lakers, avg. 30 & 15, then he’ll land on his own foot & leave us with no one

& i got a question, if the team has less than 5 player for the game, will the game get postponed or canceled?

  • gugy

  • yomi

HAHAHAHAHAHA…you guyz crack me up so much! At least we can now sit back and enjoy the Kobe show.
I had a feeling that this season was too good to be true. I have an idea. Lakers should not practice again to prevent someone from getting hurt. And during games, they should never jump or leave the ground to avoid landing awkwardly.
As for Lamar, I don’t know what to say. I guess that’s what he brings to a team along with his rebounding and missed jumpshots.

  • T-Dub

ab4sure…I would trade Odumb for Zack Randolph RIGHT NOW before he kills someone! I’d rather have a player with a bad attitude ON THE FLOOR putting up numbers, than of injury prone bums! Luke is mediocre at best and he’s hurt every year. Ship his a$$ out! Odumb, mediocre and misses a ton of games every year. Ship his a$$ out! ENOUGH EXCUSES! This will continue until these bums are gone! Isn’t 3 yrs enough? Time to try something new! This season is done! Summer, everyone can go, exept Kobe, Bynum, Turiaf, Farmar, Critt!

This is exactly what we needed to happen at this point in the season. This is just what happened last year just before we folded in the as-good-as-a-sweep first round slaughter against Pheonix. First Andrew Bynum then Trevor Ariza and not to mention Chris Mihm. I would be a little more sarcastic but I don’t want to jinx this team any more than it already has.

  • haha what a month!

K new gameplan, Lamar guards each teams best player then plays tough D, and hopefully they’ll miss a shot, and when they do everyone clears out their man and lets the opponents best player try to get the rebound against Lamar, and Lamar lets them get the rebound, But key point here HIS DEADLY FOOT will be nearby, in which then their superstar will either result in a sprained ankle, broken leg, broken foot, torn mcl, torn acl, or perhaps all of the above! Seems like a winning strategy and then once one guy is out, lamar can finish the rest of their team ONE BY ONE! GO Lakers!

I really don’t see why you give Mitch total/complete credit for Bynum who was rumored in the early days to want Sean May. Of course he eventually was on board with the Bynum pick. Company man after all.

The irony of stating the Vlad signing was all Phil and Kobe is that those two also wanted Kidd, etc. but Lakers would have none of that. Or I should say Buss would have none of that. It shows that the final decision goes to Buss.

Bynum is like Jim Buss’ kid anyway. He has gloated about this pick since day 1. Jeanie Buss recently said on the radio that they were close to his family (that should say it all). Also she said Jerry told Jim to cover his eyes when he got that injury. Going back to before the draft (Critt), Jim Buss had a radio interview (the one where he also criticized Phil for calling out players in the papers–ironically this lit a fire on Bynum each time Phil did this) where he basically implied only KG is worth Bynum. Even Phil said the Lakers bended over (typical Phil) to accommodate Bynum in the L.A. Times. The Lakers went beyond and above what any other team would have done for him and it paid off.

In the end, the guy who should receive the most credit for Bynum not being traded would be Jim Buss which is funny as he didn’t come off as competent. Just like it was really up to Jerry for Shaq to be trade (not Mitch), it was really up to Jim if his prized draft pick would be dealt off in a blockbuster or not.

And not only that, a change in drafting mentality (the thing you can’t comprehend unfortunately) came around the time he got more reins in management is a pretty nice coincidence as well. Maybe I shouldn’t be too quick to give props to Mitch for drafting better. Remembering that Sean May rumor, that guy definitely fit the bill of the Lakers previous picks. Very similar to Cook or Luke picks where they were supposedly more ready.

    Now burst emotionally!

My the time my lakers to where I live (Dallas, on the 25th), who will be left in this team huh??? Hope I get to see at least Kobe and D-fish. jeezzz…I was so hopeful to see Bynum and Ariza play.

I hate the Mavs very much, I have a “beleive” I won’t be disappointed.

  • ab4sure

Rpoc, If you had your way Bynum and Farmar would be playing for the Pacers and we would have a 20 million dollar player in JO who has a history of injuries and is currently not playing. I think you would have to agree it is a good thing that Rpoc is not the GM don’t you think???

  • AndrewT

Actually, Trevor Ariza got tangled up with Derek Fisher not Lamar (see the Lakers Basketblog). Lets not go around blaming D-Fish, because he’s a freaking rock for this team. We can go back to the Kwame Brown sucks bandwagon again if we really need a scapegoat.

Seriously this must be the year of the Irish. It’s not fair, we were so close…

  • Rpoc

If I had my way from the beginning the moment Mitch was defacto GM, it wouldn’t even have to come to that. Like a GM, things don’t always go as you had envisioned. However the moves that I wanted (Prince, Barbosa, hell let’s go even further when I wanted to do Rice for Davis because of the future) I would have been on a great streak if I also took Boozer and Arenas into consideration but those two surprised me, Arenas less so because I saw the potential (ironically the Lakers didn’t have a draft pick that year). But hey, all those other guys would have been great despite those two guys anyway right?

So if I was the GM, you wouldn’t have seen an aging roster going into their twilight zone very soon because I took into consideration of the future. You wouldn’t have a franchise on the brink of losing Kobe but saved by a pick in Bynum by yours truly, Jim Buss. You should have wanted me to be GM. The moves I wanted would have gave fresh legs to an once in a decade team.

Btw, be sure to thank Jim Buss, not Mitch that Bynum is here.

  • Rpoc

[Comment ID #23086 Will Be Quoted Here]
If it’s not Lamar, something definitely needs to be exorcised. It’s on the loose and we are fraked with injuries from it!

  • ab4sure

You as a GM…Kobe would be thinking of opting out right now. You would have shipped Bynum and Farmar out and have an injured JO. The lakers record with Bynum starting the last 20 games before his injury was 17-3. I don’t see JO making a big difference for the Pacers in fact their record is just as good if not better. With you NOT AS GM, the lakers saved both BYNUM AND KOBE. BASICALLY WITH YOU NOT AS A GM THE LAKERS SAVED THE FRANCHISE!!!!!!!

  • Rpoc

No, no, my easily angered friend.

Hey, not everything turns out like we thought it would. Just like Kwame for Caron looks so, so, so bad now. That move set us back a lot. Mitch and I might not always get it right.

But my main point is the other moves I would have made in the past outweigh the bad because look at how they turned out. Sure Barbosa, Prince, and Davis take time but I thought it was worth it because we have lots of veterans. Not for Mitch and co.

What would have happened is that Kobe and his team would have had better players to compete with in his prime.

It’s incredibly ironic. I took into consideration of the future back then and Mitch and company focused on “now” players to no success. And when I focused on building with a veteran core for Kobe who’s in his prime, they went and got the 3rd the youngest team in the NBA.

  • Odom the worst player

I’ve been saying all along Odom is an accident waiting to happen. This guy is so overrated it’s pathetic. When it’s all said and done all of these fans out there who says Odom is a good player will finally realize this guy is a joke. Now he’s injured two of our most productive players, Bynum and now Ariza. I know he didn’t try to injure them, but he’s still the reason they are injured. Now that two of our best players are injured, let us see if Odom can step his game up. After these stretches of game let us all see if he comes though. Mitch if you want to savage the team, get Odumb out of here. I’ve submitted a letter to the NBA and asked them to start keeping count of clanks so that Odumb can lead the league with something.

  • KB

  • ab4sure

Anger??? Dude, I am laughing at you. Yeah, you really wanted those guys after the draft. Anyone one can say what you said. I can bet on a race and win as long as the race is over. Please give me a break. Think about what you would have done with your trade. Not only would you have traded a franchise player in Bynum who is as of even right now much better and affects the game much more than JO but you would have trade Farmar a budding stud in this league. And you wanted to throw 2 first rounders to the Pacers. What is wrong with you? Not only would the lakers not make it out of the first round, but there would be a great chance Kobe would opt out and the lakers would get nothing for him.

    Aug 18th, 2007 at 5:06 pm
The ideal trade which is contingent on Bird stopping his damn attempts at ripping us with Lamar and Bynum:

    JO for Bynum/Kwame/Critt or Farmar/Evans/Sasha and 2008 1st rounder, 2010 first rounder

If they’re willing to accept one #1, then even better. I’m putting 2 assuming Bird will be a hard ass. We still have the 2009 #1 and MLE to use to plug holes as long as the window is open.

Read the “Art of Negotiation” YOu need it.
Now Like you said earlier “denial isn’t healthy” and “now burst emotionally”

what are you taking in school rpoc??? Psycho-babble

  • Rpoc

If you’re laughing, then you’re just doing it to feel better.

I already gave well-reasoned arguments why I wanted Barbosa and Prince. But unfortunately, you choose to ignore. This blog didn’t exist back then so of course you can’t find a post of mine. Which gave me even more reason for me provide those reasons but you chose to ignore.

I view my old proposal as the same result as the Kwame for Caron trade. Sometimes things just don’t go as you envisioned. You also left out that the 2nd first rounder only comes when push comes to shove. Either way, it’s just one of those things that didn’t happen the way you thought it would like that Kwame for Caron trade.

You try to hide your tension, but it’s obvious in your posts that you are rattled and unsettled.

  • Rpoc

If you provide don’t much blame Mitch for Kwame and Caron, then it’s hypocritical to blame me. Hindsight is 20/20.

  • ab4sure

Exactly, of course I blame Mitch for trading Caron, but his mistakes are much less than yours. His choices are making the lakers contenders while your choices would have lost them 2 franchise players. BTW, I like Parker, Boozer, Josh Howard, etc… hindsight is beautiful isn’t it???

Also, I am still laughing at your psycho-babble(tension, rattled, unsettled)LOL. It is a good tactic when your trying to save face.

  • Rpoc

Give your reasons. Don’t just state names.

I didn’t see Boozer or Josh Howard. Example, Boozer was undersized so I overlooked him for the most part because he couldn’t be a two-way player. He still isn’t a great defensive player but turned out to be a hell of an offensive player.

Barbosa – already known that Harper recommended him.
Prince – Lakers were said to be prepared to draft him. Totally agreed. Totally disagreed with Rush who wasn’t scouted by them.

It’s ironic that you say Mitch has built a contender when he would have gotten Sean May and really screwed this franchise. Save face and say thanks to Jim Buss for not swaying to Kobe and Phil.

Mitch Kupchak, Buss, and PJ are doing a good job and we have a Superstar in Kobe and a Superstar in the making in Andrew Bynum. We have some good young talent in Farmar and Crittenton. We also have obtained some nice pieces in Ariza and Turiaf while this year we got rid of Cook and Smush. We got fish back and we have a future. Let us Stop Bashing this Front Office and enjoy the team we have. Anybody with me?

  • Viva Vegas

It was Derrick’s foot, not Lamar LOL.. but saying it was Lamar is funny!!!

We are truly cursed people. Let’s just cross our fingers and hope they step up every game. We really need offense right now.

Some people will nitpick endlessly about the FO. I think it probably is in there dna. Or perhaps they are just psychotic.. I agree we need to enjoy this team. So far it has been an exciting year to watch.

ab4sure and Leaderfish…there is nothing to enjoy! Ab, I’ve mentioned about 6/7 bad moves Mitch has made. You have yet to mention one good move. All you can say is that he didn’t trade Bynum…it wasn’t his call! Everyone knows Bynum was Jim Buss guy! As far as Farmar, Critt, Tufiaf, Every knows that a GM doesn’t make the picks himself… owner, head coach, even star players all have input. What good (impact) aquisition has Mitch made?? I didn’t even mention the fact that Artest, Baron, and Boozer made it known they wanted to play here. He coulcn’t get it done. All Losersfirst and you do is point out the picks which were not HIS call! WHAT HAS MITCH DONE! If he’s not calling the shots, and he’s taking all the heat, then he’s spineless and not a GM at all!

  • T-Dub

When a teams top player goes down and they tank, they were not a top team to begin with. See Duncan, Amare…the Suns and Spurs STILL compete when those guys go down. Bynum is not even our top guy and look at the difference. Point being, if there were more capable starting players on this team (Fisher, Walton, Odumb, Kwame), we would still be ok with just Bynum going down. Of those 4 guys, tell me who can start on the Pistons, Celtics, Spurs, Mavs, Hornets, Jazz. Exactly, NONE! This is our starting lineup that Mitch built…Championship Caliber!!!!!

  • T-Dub

The reason everyone is freaking out over Ariza…a late 2nd round pick and career backup, is because they know the true talent level of this team!

  • mfoznot

T-DubSh*t- Zach Randolph!!! HA HA HA. You’re an f’n idiot if you would take fat, lazy, and inconsistent Zach Randolph. Like I said before, he hasn’t even been with the Knicks an entire season and they already wanted to get rid of that cancer. Why do you think the Knicks bench him for half the game. Good trade a**hole.

  • LakersFirst

[Comment ID #23062 Will Be Quoted Here]

T-DubSh*T – Get your fact straight, Mihm was traded to the Lakers for a retiring Rick Fox and Gary Payton (who couldn’t play in the triangle offense):

“Mihm is now a Laker in a trade that sent Rick Fox and Gary Payton to the Celtics.”

  • T-Dub

Hey dumbsh*t… Ww also got Chucky Atkins. Mitch gave up our 1st rnd pick to Boston in that trade which they sent to Pheonix, the 21st pick. The pick we used was #26 from Miami to get FARMAR nutsack! Get YOUR facts straight!

  • LakersFirst

[Comment ID #23120 Will Be Quoted Here]

T-DubSh*t – You’re just unwilling to accept that Mitch has done many good things. You’re unwilling to give Mitch his due but yet you’re willing to praise everyone else in the FO, even Jim Buss.

You mentioned that we have yet to say the good things he’s done (which is bullsh*t because I’ve mentioned in other blogs but you just choose to ignore them). Let’s see,

    1) he drafted and KEPT Bynum. Despite what you think Mitch is the one who stuck to his guns and kept Bynum (AND YES YOU F’N IDIOT IT WAS HIS CALL). After all the b*tching by Kobe and after over 90% of the people on this site said to trade Bynum, Mitch KEPT HIM (not Jim Buss, Mitch). Even other GM’s in the league, and coaches, have praised Mitch for not trading Bynum. Again, you’re not willing to give the devil his due.

    2. He drafted Farmar (oh but you think that was Jim Buss – Yes you truly are an idiot)

    3. He drafted Turaif (oh but you think that was Jim Buss – Yes you truly are an idiot)

    4. He traded for Trevor Ariza and gave up Mo Evans and Brian Cook.

    5. He drafted Critt (oh but you think that was Jim Buss – Yes you truly are an idiot)

Artest has NOT said he wanted to come here (quit making sh*t up to make you look good). As a matter of fact, Artest has stated that he wants to opt out of his Sac contract and L.A. is not one of the teams he wants to go to.

With regards to Baron, the Lakers didn’t want him because of his continous back and knee injuries. Don’t you know that Baron was injured for half the year last year and didn’t come back until the second half of the year. You make it seem like Baron is that Golden State team. Wrong f*ggot. That team was sh*t until Stephen Jackson came back.

Boozer – Yes, the Lakers were trying to trade for him, UNTIL THE UTAH JAZZ BACKED OUT!!! It takes two teams to make a trade. If the other team backs out, you can’t blame the GM.

You just don’t want to give Mitch his due, BECAUSE YOU’RE A DUBS*IT

  • LakersFirst

[Comment ID #23121 Will Be Quoted Here]

Again another idiotic comment by the now infamous T-DUBSH*T (who is not a Laker fan, despite what he says).

Uhhh, yes when Duncan went down, the Spurs HAVE been negatively affected. They are 7-10 since their injures. Again, you don’t know facts.

Amare is NOT the main guy on that team, Nash is. Unlike Bynum, Amare does NOT play any defense so of course his loss isn’t that big unlike that of Bynum who alters shots and blocks many shots. Also, Amare is not that great of a rebounder whereas Bynum is.

See you just think like that scoring is EVERYTHING!! No no my dubsh*t friend. Bynum was also defense, shot altering, shot blocks and rebounds!!! The Lakers do a fine job of scoring without Bynum, however his defense and rebounding will be missed. Is Walton a shot blocker, NO! If Fisher a shot blocker no!!, Is Odom a shot blocker, NO!!

The Lakers at full health were 25-11, better than the Spurs, Mavs, Hornets and Jazz (and if you think the Jazz are a top team, you truly are f’n stupid). As a matter fact, weren’t the Lakers the top team in the West. So you know geography, San Antonio, Utah, New Orleans and Dallas are in the WEST!!!

CHAMPIONSHIP CALIBUR – You’re just too much of a dubsh*t to realize it. Now go be a bandwagon fan and root for the Celtics.

He brings balance to the TEAM. He was the backup to our starting small forward. Now we don’t have a backup small forward.

Oh yea, by the way, Radman, Mihm, Bynum, Ariza are all injured (Walton is playing injured) so to lose anymore players what be detrimental. Yes other teams do have injuries, but no other teams have 4 to 5 players injured all at the same time.

  • Nikko

T-dub, You have been answered so many times it is getting abit pathetic. You can’t let go of your bitterness for the FO. It has clouded your judgement and in fact it has limited your thinking. Lakerfirst has answered you numerous times and yet you still hold on to your hatred for the FO. Makes me think you are upset about the Lakers record because any success on their record will reflect well on the FO. That is a twisted mind. Now when the Lakers have these injuries you seem to glory in the them. It gives you an excuse to trash the FO again. Now the next several games you will undoubtedly jump with Glee that the lakers will be losing more so than in the past. Every game they lose will give you new energy to bash again. Instead of doing this why don’t you let it go man. Let go of the hatred, bitterness, and learn as that fish guy said earlier to enjoy the team because even IF(A BIG IF) the lakers were to win the title this year you would still find something to complain about. Come out of your Bars of Bitterness and into the Laker Light!!!

The is my MLK dream for you today.

  • T-Dub

Losersfirst…do you like women?? I really don’t think so the way you dangle from Mitch’s nuts. I’m gonna start calling you teabag! You don’t know SH*T about basketball! I’m convinced! All you do is recite things you’ve read out of the Lakers FO. Once again, can’t think for yourself. And Artest did want to come to LA before he was trade to SAC, remember he was attending Laker games 2 yrs ago before he got traded??? Stupid!

  • Rpoc

[Comment ID #23115 Will Be Quoted Here]
Likewise, the amount of energy and time you invest in arguing with everyone on this site as Mitch apologist is also entertaining. If you want to shine his shoes and tout him as a savior of the Lakers, then let’s leave it at that. He can do no wrong and what he does wrong can be forgiven easily because he knows his stuff. Just like Danny Ainge suddenly knows his stuff.

  • MILO

    Im going to die!!!

  • T-Dub

And remember, the players you state are constantly injured, yet you continue to make excuses. Don’t you think its time part ways if a player hurt every year and it effects your ability to compete at a high level???

T-DubSh*t – It’s apparent you don’t get any women because you’re damn bitter. God I have never met anyone who needs to get laid more so than YOU!!

I have ripped apart your arguments with facts!! I have proven that I do know a thing or two about the NBA. However, a few days ago, before you’re great suggestion about getting Zach Randolph, you suggested that the Lakers should still trade LO and Kwame for an injured JO. Well this just again, PROVES that you really don’t know sh*t about the NBA.

Lets examine how that trade would’ve resulted. Hmmm, Bynum injured, Mihm is injured, JO injured (he’s not playing right now), LO would be gone as would Kwame, so that leaves us with how many bigs??? ONE – Ronny Turiaf (if you want to call him a big). WOW you are such a great GM. No Big Men. Oh my God, you are f’n BRILLIANT!!! If you can’t tell, I am being utterly sarcastic.

Quit saying you’re a Laker fan and leave the site. Every comment you make is demonstrating how utterly clueless you are and how much of a Laker fan you ARE NOT!!

  • T-Dub

Caron Butler: 19pts, 7reb, 4stl…end of 3rd qtr against Mavs! Great job Mitch!

  • T-Dub

Lakesfirst and ab4sure…you are the same guys who don’t want to hear that the US GOV are murderers and thieves, or racism still exist today! You want to sugarcoat everything to make yourselves feel better. The truth is the truth and I call it like I see it!

  • ab4sure

Rpoc, You distort my argument because your argument can’t hold water. I never said Mitch didn’t make mistakes, he would tell you himself. What Gm doesn’t??? Even the spurs passed on barbosa and Josh Howard(btw that cost them the title in 2006). You need to have alittle more balanced perspective in your judging. I never said he was a savior, but just very glad he was the GM and not you. You would have cost us Bynum and our future of Farmar, plus mortgaged our future in giving away two first rounders for JO. BTW first round pics are not like pieces of gum you give away. We probably woudn’t recover from that for ten years because that surely would have meant kobe would be gone. Maybe for the next ten years you can be grateful for that when you watch the lakers win.

  • LakersFirst

[Comment ID #23153 Will Be Quoted Here]

Didn’t I say it before, the Lakers were NOT going to resign Caron Butler back then anyways. By the way, I’m sure those numbers are inflated because Gilbert Arenas isn’t playing. If Arenas was playing, you know his points wouldn’t be that high.

  • LakersFirst

[Comment ID #23162 Will Be Quoted Here]

T-DubSh*t – The Lakers weren’t going to resign him becuase they had redundancy at the small forward position. LO was supposed to play the small forward position and back then LO was thought to be the better player.

With regards to their ability to judge talent, then obviously draft picks like Bynum, Turiaf, Critt, and Farmar were TERRIBLE picks, right. NOPE THEY WEREN’T. THEY WERE GREAT PICKS, but of course you won’t give the FO credit for that.

My God, you’re acting like Mitch is Isaiah Thomas (beacuse you’re such a dumbf*ck, you probably would prefer Isiah as the Lakers GM). The Laker team that was assembled went 25-11 (best in the west) but even when they were winning and the team was coming together, you still trashed them, which proves, like I’ve said, time and time and time again – YOU ARE NOT A LAKER FAN!! EVEN WHEN THEY WERE WINNING YOU DIDN’T LIKE THEM. TIME FOR YOU TO LEAVE THE SITE, LITTLE WHINING B*TCH!

I love how those who comment here cannot do it without attacking another person, making up nicknames, or using curse words. Apparently many of you haven’t matured or have the intelligence to get your point across without the use of those cheap tactics. Maybe one day you guys will grow up.

For the most part, people should get over the fact that Mitch did this or that. It was the past. Harping on the past isn’t going to do anything to fix this injury bug that’s going around or help the team at all. What we should do as fans is to support the team, no matter how horrible the players are.

Also, the “fans” here are too critical. After one horrible game, you already want to ship a player out. Everyone has their bad days. Unless you’re a player, coach, etc. in the NBA, you really can’t be /that/ critical because I don’t see you doing any better if you were on the court.

I agree. Let’s enjoy this team. I think people want to get more blood from the Lakers Front Office. It’s like they can’t give it up. They didn’t get enough blood this summer. Enjoy this team you guys. Stop ripping the Front Office. I am personally getting tired of it.
T-DUB, why you hating Mitch Kupchak like you do? Get over him! We have a solid team with a present and a future. Why do you complain so much? ENJOY THIS TEAM!!!!!!!!!!

I ride or die with this team a marriage or like symize twins(I hope that’s how u spell that word,if not F!@# it)but this team has flaws and that’s in the middle.Kwame gave a better effort but now his defending now is suffering.I have to give him props for being a MAN and apologizing to your teammates and I realize you and AB are different players but 3years in a Laker uniform and you still having a hard time, that’s unacceptable,SORRY.If you were on your job and it took 3 years to get what should’ve took a month…….in the words of Trump,YOUR FIRED.DJ IS NOT THE ANSWER BUT SAMUEL DALEMBERT WOULD’VE BEEN,THANX FO(MITCH IS STILL COOL BUT JIM BUSS OR JERRY NEED HELP IN THE GETTING TALENT DEPARTMENT).A.Bynum/Dalembert brings chills to opponents but DJ/Kwame….well my pet cat just purred so maybe that counts for something.

I’ll ask it again because you keep mentioning Dalembert, why would Philly want to give up Dalembert? He’s their best rebounder and starting center.
