Although most Laker fans will point the blame to anything and everything when the Larry O’ Brien trophy isn’t in Los Angeles, Metta World Peace stated at the Voice Awards that the finger should be pointed at him.

Here is what World Peace had to say to Mark Medina over at the LA Times:

If we don’t win, kick me in the L4 or L5 nerve. That’s right below your buttocks”

Last season, World Peace had a nerve issue in his back which kept him out of shape and in pain most of the year until finally feeling better in April in which he averaged 14+ points per game.

I’m ready to be a part of something special… it’s not going to take me until April to be at that elite level.”

The last time World Peace put the pressure on the Lakers to win or blame him was his first year with the team in 2010. Lakers beat the Celtics in 7 games that year.
