The Lakers did it! They finally won back to back games and the result -- THE 2009 NBA FINALS!

Outplayed, outshot, outhustled, outscored. That is the story of the Lakers game tonight.

The Lakers defeated the Nuggets on Saturday night to reclaim home court advantage and take a 2-1 series lead.

This was a great game played by the Lakers. This is the type of effort that is going to get another trophy to Los Angeles.

How inconsistent is this team? I am not even looking at the box score as I write this because I don't really need to. The Lakers did not show up again on the road...

Talk about night and day. This Laker team played near flawless basketball for 48 minutes tonight and the Rockets played as poor as possible shooting only 33% from the field and 5 of 29 from three...

This game reminded me much of Game 6 vs. the Boston Celtics last year. The only differences were that the Rockets are not as talented and they let us come back at the end.

Now, that is Laker basketball. It all starts with defense and it ends with a Laker W as they reclaimed home court advantage and took a 2-1 series lead in Houston.

That looked much more like a Laker game. Good offense. Good defense. Kobe's 40 and Pau's 22 were too much for Houston to handle.

Ouch. 2 for 18 threes. 39-88 shooting. 12 of 19 from the line. Not the way to open up a seven game series against Houston.

The Lakers took care of business tonight just as they did in each other win this postseason. They created a large lead, let it slip away, but hung on for the first round series victory.

I hope Cleveland was watching ESPN tonight, because that was one of the better Laker performances all year. 52% shooting en route to 108 points.

We really can't hold a lead. The Lakers had a chance to essentially end the series and they blew it. 37% shooting and allowing 55 rebounds gave this game away.

The Lakers got lucky tonight. Their superb offense made up for their lack of defense.

With the Lakers off to a poor start, trade rumors have begun to swirl around Kobe Bryant, leading many to speculate if he'll leave for greener pastures. Kobe puts those rumors to rest in his interview with Yahoo Sports.
