Don’t like going off topic here, we usually like to keep all news Lakers related. But the Tim Donaghy story is something that can affect the entire league. ESPN.com: Former referee Tim Donaghy pleaded guilty to two felony charges Wednesday in an NBA betting scandal that rocked the league and raised questions about the integrity of games. • Lakers probably won’t get O’Neal?

By Kam Pashai on August 10, 2007
Sporting News: There would be some coincidence if, indeed, Pacers forward Jermaine O’Neal is shipped to the Lakers to play alongside Kobe Bryant. After all, no pair of players has been more bizarrely uncertain of their desire to be traded this summer than Bryant and O’Neal. Bryant’s trade-me/Laker-for-life escapades have been well-documented. O’Neal’s aren’t nearly as whimsical or controversial as [...]
  • Kobe on ‘Kimmel’: Is no news good news?

By Kam Pashai on August 10, 2007
LA Times: For Lakers fans, it was the most intriguing on-paper pairing of the post-Garnett Pipe Dream portion of this long, hot, cruel summer: Kobe on “Kimmel!” Or, to quote the frenzied text messages that whipped around town on Wednesday: “KOBE SPEAKS!” It had been a long time waiting for SoCal summer sufferers. While old rivals such as the Trailblazers [...]
  • To Trade or NOT to Trade Lamar Odom

By Kam Pashai on July 12, 2007
Thanks to Cyrus Santoriello for sending us the following piece. Somewhat of a reply to Shane Bien’s We Are All Lamar Odom article. To Trade or NOT to Trade Lamar Odom. There isn’t an easy answer to that query. To be a better judge, you must take a close look at Lamar Odom’s life and his journey coast-to-coast. “To trade [...]
  • We Are All Lamar Odom

By Kam Pashai on July 12, 2007
Thanks to site contributer, Shane Bien for the following article. Before many of you run to your bank account to see if your expected 13.5 million dollar salary arrived yet, let me explain. Lamar Odom is an underachiever, and in many ways fans dislike him because he reminds us of ourselves. The majority of people in life are underachievers. Just [...]
  • The Fish Is Back!

By Kam Pashai on July 10, 2007
UPDATE: Kevin Ding of the OC Register is starting soften his stance from this article. Had a funny feeling this would happen. The OC Register is reporting that the Lakers and Derek Fisher have finalized a deal. Is the MLE too much to pay for the former Laker guard? Everyone’s got an opinion. I’d like to be the first to [...]
  • Lakers resign Luuuke

By Kam Pashai on July 1, 2007
I‘m sure Bill Walton is chilling somewhere in San Diego right now thinking to himself, “This is probably the greatest signing in all of Western civilization.” ESPN is reporting that Luke Walton has reached a 6 year, 30Mill deal with the Lakers. Seems like we didn’t overpay for young Skywalker afterall. The question now remains, when will he get his [...]
  • Lakers Offer Deal to Papaloukas

By Kam Pashai on June 27, 2007
Shall we take a short break from all this Garnett madness, just for a second? Please? Okay good! Reports say that the Lakers have offered a deal to Euroleague MVP, Theodoros Papaloukas. They’re throwing most of the MLE at this guy. If he does dawn purple and gold next season, lets hope he isn’t another Sasha bust. I like knowing that [...]
  • Shoutbox Removed

By Kam Pashai on June 27, 2007
Sorry everyone, we had to remove the Shoutbox. This site is taking up too much bandwidth on our shared server and the Shoutbox was just making it worse. When GoDaddy suspended our account ’cause we went over the limit with bandwidth, we switched over to another host. However, the Shoutbox was still a problem on our shared server. This means, [...]
  • Garnett, Kobe have phone conversation

By Kam Pashai on June 26, 2007
It looks like Kevin Garnett is reaching out to our disgruntled star. Hopefully this goes well. Kobe, don’t mess this up my man. Rotoworld.com: ESPN’s Jim Gray is reporting that Kevin Garnett spoke to Kobe Bryant to find out if Kobe would stay with the Lakers if Garnett was acquired from the Timberwolves in a trade. The deal that would [...]

  • 24: 1 story, 1 day, 1 fan.

By Kam Pashai on May 31, 2007
I am a Lakers fan, and today is the longest day of my life. Wednesday could have been played out like a season of 24. The day started off like any other. Here I was, studying for finals… not knowing that Kobe Bryant was on ESPN radio with Stephen A. Smith. Then… at 9:48am PST I got the call, it [...]
