      According to Lakers.com, the Lakers have officially hired Eddie Jordan, Steve Clifford and Bernie Bickerstaff to assist Head Coach Mike Brown this upcoming season.   • Lakers Sign Mr. Irrelevant – Robert Sacre

    Lakers signed their second round, 60th pick from the 2012 Draft, F/C Robert Sacre.  Sacre averaged over 9 points per game at Gonzaga (11.6 as a senior), and was named 2012 WCC Defensive Player of the Year. Sacre will be a big body for “Dwight Insurance” if his back isn’t ready to start the season.

    Sources are reporting that Free Agent SG Jodie Meeks, 24,  has agreed to 2-year, $3M deal with the Lakers. The second year is a team option. Meeks averaged 8.4 points per game last season with the 76ers and is a career 37% shooter from the arc.

    Sources have indicated that SG/SF C.J. Miles is considering a one or two year deal with the Lakers. The deal would most likely be for the mini mid-level exception. Miles averaged 9.1 points per game in 20 minutes last season with the Utah Jazz.

    In answering questions from a Spanish reporter about Laker teammate and Olympic rival Pau Gasol, Bryant made news today about Gasol’s future with the Lakers: “As long as I’m there, he’s going to be there.” Upon hearing the quote, Gasol later tweeted “Thanks Kobe! It’s a pleasure to play with you game after game. Go Lakers!!”
