Here’s one for the haters out there. Best player on planet earth is Kobe, for all those STILL trying to argue others “don’t” want to play with him, check this out.

USA Today: Kobe Bryant says he wants to blend in, have some fun playing basketball and fulfill a lifelong dream of helping the United States win an Olympic gold medal.

But when perhaps the best NBA player in the game says he wants to be traded from the only team for which he has played and then waffles on that decision with no clarification, blending in is hardly the course he chooses.

The Los Angeles Lakers superstar knows wherever he goes, whatever he does and — because of how he expressed his frustration — whatever he says creates drama.

Because he feels no one will believe what he says about his situation with the Lakers — no matter what that is — Bryant says the best course for all parties is for him to stop talking publicly about the situation.

“It’s about going forward and handling the situation the right way and handling it behind closed doors within the walls of the organization and doing it that way,” he told USA TODAY here Saturday.

This is nothing we don’t already know…true fans of basketball know that Kobe is the best player in the world right now. Other than Raja Bell…every other player who’s ever set foot on the b-ball court would love to play with Kobe because he’s a winner. He goes out on that floor with the same passion every game.

But then again… who the hell is Raja Bell and who really cares that he hates Kobe…he’s just jealous because he’ll never be the player Kobe is.

Those are big words from Melo.
Words you just somehow know that Lebron would never say.
I get the feeling that Bron is uneasy around Kobe. He knows he has to go through him before he’s ever considered the best. Though he would never admit it. Kobe is the greatest.

He already has ^^^, Great article BTW. Good find

Nice article. I know Melo and Kobe are pretty good friends. I think he was helping Melo when he was having problems a couple years ago.

  • dude

I bet if Bron had JUST ONE (even if it was a fluke) game that was of KOBE’s caliber…. the whole media will say BRON is the best EVER.. which is not fair.. cause KOBE is so good.. we take advantages of that and expect him to be that good and barely consider him as one of the greats of all time

KOBE Doesnt night in and night out….

KOBE is the greatest of all time

Kobe should be in his own league, not in MJs league. :/

  • KobeOwnSU

Kobe is the G.O.A.T. everyone else is just jealous, but once he leads the USA to Gold in the olympics next year, everyone will have to admit that he is the greatest basketball player that god has ever allowed to set forth his feet on this world.

Wow, what a bunch of homers. Greatest of all time? Get real. He’s a great player, for sure, but he is not even close the best ever. Moreover, why is it that none of Kobe’s ex-teammates ever speak highly of him? Could it be that he is a jerk?

If Kobe were not a jerk, and if he WAS the best player of all time, don’t you think KG would demand that McHale make that trade? Living at the beach, playing with and for the greatest player and coach in history, in the entertainment capitol of the world. That might be appealing to a rich young man with no rings. Perhaps there is a reason KG is not coming to LA, and perhaps he does not want to play on the same team as the guy who has no friends in the NBA….

I do agree with Kobe at this point in his career on not being the GOAT but he sure has a good chance ending up as the GOAT. But everything else you said come on now. KG demand a trade? Do you even have the slightest clue of who KG is? Hes a private person and loyal to minny he wouldnt ask for a trade. Kobe no friends in NBA? wow you really dont know much do you. Ive followed Kobe’s entire career and not once someone call him a jerk or imply he is one, except raja but he just hating on kobes greatness, hes misunderstood at times, but nothing close to being a “jerk”.
