Well Amare loves playing with the world saying he is coming to the Lakers. After last Friday’s “hoax,” he put this up today. Feel free to discuss.

Breaking News! Amar’e Stoudemire to the Lakers!! He might take less money to win a championship. (via twitter)

NOOOOO!!!! I wouldn’t touch Amare with a 10 foot pool. I live in phoenix, and the majority of fans want to pull their hair out when it comes to him. He plays absolutely no defense, is not the best team-player, has a “me first” attitude and only cares about his own numbers. The radio and other media here tear him up all the time. He’s been in this league long enough that he should be a seasoned veteran, but he’s not. He has not developed, and Suns fans are sick of him. If this is a serious consideration, then Lakers fans in LA need to take this to the streets. Not post-game celebration kind of protesting, which we saw from the tools in LA that wanted everyone else to know they are tools. But you know…Ghandi or MLK Jr. style, a march or something like that.

    Amare is garbage!!!

Maybe Mitch can work out a SIGN AND TRADE! Sign Amar’e for less money then trade his ass for other pieces to the puzzle! LOL! Think about it, with Houston desperate because Yao might be out for the season, maybe they’d be willing to part with artest and battier for amar’e. Sigh… one can dream right?

  • Lakersbabe1

    wow Amare is DESPERATE!!!

It’s kinda sad, maybe a little pathetic even…

Quit whining and just play some basketball! You’re getting paid millions and all he does is twitter and whine.

He reminds me of another infamous twitter that speaks his mind a little to often.

    What was his name again?

Wtf are you talking about… Where is he whining anywhere here? It’s obviously a joke and he’s having fun.

  • LakersFirst

As much as Amare wants to win a championship, he’ll also want to start. Remember Laker fans, we already have a starting power forward in Pau Gasol. Do you think Amare would sign for less to come off the bench?

  • Lakersbabe1

[Comment ID #77638 Will Be Quoted Here]

Exactly! WE all know Amare will want to start! There is no way in hell he is going to come off the bench!

He has a huge ego, and its a gamble to mess with the team chemistry we have right now.

Dude we just won the Championship this year! Do we really need Amare to come off the bench with the possibilty to hurt our overall team chemistry?

  • http://myspace.com/3wyshes 3 wyshes

This guy is a turning into Shaq and PHX needs to fine him or something this is what an agent is for to keep things professional and under wraps until its a done deal.

  • Anthony

Go to the Knicks….oh you said win a championship? Sorry we’re all full here.

  • Kobe is the BEST

[Comment ID #77639 Will Be Quoted Here]

WELL SAID!!! Amare in my own personal view is a very egotistic player due to the fact that he DEMANDS touches and POINTS. If he doesn’t get his points or average his usual 19/10 avg he won’t contribute much on defense or anything else.

He is a scoring machine but if he doesn’t score, he tends to get lazy on defense.

THat is not what we need on this team. We need players that contribute on every facet of the game whether that be rebounds, steals, points, blocks, regardless of points.

I’m all down to sign Amare but we must be certain that he won’t ruin what we already have here. I’ll be against it if he proves that he messes up the overall makeup of our Lakers!!!

It really is a gamble… but you never know.

Either someone is hacking into his account, or his publicist hasn’t told him to shut his mouth yet.

Not a big deal at all. Just move gasol to the 5 and amare to the 4. I dont see the problem with that? Move bynum to the bench.

  • CK

Or he’s just joking around. How would Amare starting be a bad thing… Pau/Amare/Ariza/Kobe/PG

Bynum and Odom off the bench…

Well, he does have his issues, but his talent can’t be denied. I know he’s just joking, but if he weren’t and we lose LO and he’d be willing to come over for less money, shoot…it could suck because of his ego, but if he was REALLY willing…taking less money would show he’s willing to kill his ego at least a little bit. Fish/Kobe/Ariza/Amare/Pau with Bynum off the bench would be scary as hell. Imagine if we didn’t lose LO either, play him at the 3 sometimes to get him minutes, no more Luke Walton playing time, no more Sasha playing time. Nothing but quality players for 48 minutes, no one could compete with that.

Amare has already said kobe is the best in the world, Kobe would keep him in check. I don’t know how to feel about this one if Amare were serious haha. Good thing he’s not though.

haha I was joking with my friends a few weeks ago that the Lakers acquired Amare. I guess this joke might become reality.

  • Sopi

    he simply sucks

  • roscoe

We already have a better PF than Amare. We need to resign Ariza and Odom over Amare.

  • wookie

I like him but we don’t need him now. We’ve got Bynum,Gasol and Odom.

  • Sean All Ivy

If we lose Odom and he doesn’t mind coming off the bench, I think it would be a baller move.

im sorry, you wanna touch amare with your “10 foot pole” ???

  • Rob

maybe we could trade bynum for amare

  • Rooz

What the hell are you guys talking about !!!!!!! Amare is beast … we would be lucky if we get him !!!! We should trade Bynum + Farmar for Amare without thinking twice…
Amare is only 26 .. a 20 pt. 10 reb. PF he’s hungry and talented .. And if someone can help him find his way that’s Phil the master Jackson..
If he would accept Bynum’s kind of salary and an extension we should do it in heart beat.. Last year our best line-up was with Pau at Center and Lamar at PF… Bynum needs a lot of work .. 2 years at least to become a decent player … Kobe doesn’t have that time luxury anymore … Kobe + Amare + Pau .. Dynasty baby !!!!

  • Diggah_dalakerfan

I’m not feeling him…….why mess up the chemisty we have with him in the mix

  • http://www.myspace.com/guszo gus26

why is he signing he’ll take less money?.. he is not a free agent… until after next year.. if ariza really wants 8-9 million then do a sign and trade and through in sasha and morrison too.. don’t know if we’ll play him but if one of our bigs gets hurt.. we have an allstar there.. whatever.. i don’t even think that account is verified..

  • Rooz

Nobody said sign him … I said sign an extension… He’s in the last year of his contract.. And you can’t trade for him and not guarantee that he’s gonna be here for some time…
About the Chemistry thing.. A bum like Bynum who ruined every offensive possession when he touched the ball in the playoffs was part of a championship team… and if someone knows Chemistry that’s Phil Jackson .. so don’t worry about chemistry..

Who in the hell would not take Amare on the CHEAP? …Who?

…There is no guarantee in free agency! I.e. Ronny Turiaf!
…Que sera, sera? …But, what is certain, as in death & taxes: Big bucks talk, anything else, Walks!
…There is a decent chance Ariza could be lured out of L.A. …Then What?

  • http://getgasol.com getgasol

F**k Amare. Retain Odom & Ariza #1 priority.

I can’t believe 62 % of you on the poll would rather see Amare as a Laker than keeping two of the guys that got us a ring.

  • willow

This foo ain’t fo real!!!! He’s using the Lakers as a threat or leverage to get what he wants!!!! We’ve seen this before from other players in the past. This is just a ploy to get Phoenix to give in to his demands, whatever they are.

Please, please, please DO NOT FALL FOR THIS! This is nothing but a contract strategy on his part or his agent.

  • LakersFirst

[Comment ID #77653 Will Be Quoted Here]

Paying $12M per year for a bench player? We are probably going to have a high paid bench player (LO – if the Lakers resign him).

The goal is to have Andrew Bynum develop into a better player, having him come off the bench, at $12M per year, isn’t a smart idea.

  • Paul

Keep the players we need first, then see what we could do with this fool.

You know we’re talking about Amare Stoudemire right?!? Like…the guy that plays for the Suns?? Hungry?? Are you kidding me?! Is that why everyone in Phoenix basically hates the guy because he shows no heart and only cares about one side of the floor. He may get hungry, but only for 3 or 4 games out of the year…usually in December and January. I live in Phx, and listen to sports radio like a mad man….believe me, he has the maturity of a 12 year old and has become a pro at blaming everyone else but himself. People who have been life long Suns fans want him shipped out. It’s one thing to have potential, but to have it for 7 or 8 years without actually realizing it. Where was Kobe or Shaq, or Duncan 8 years into their careers. I’ll tell you wear…getting sized up for rings. The only thing Amare does with his finger is point it at others in order to spread the blame

  • Drew

    Trade Bynum For Stoudemire

Stoudemire is a beast they don’t call him STAT(Standing Tall And Talented)for nothing

    Do it Mitch!!!
